City Lights

Bright flashing lights dazzle like diamonds

They color the dull buildings and gray concrete

Vibrant neon signs scream their messages

Your eyes cant control themselves, excitement can't be contained

They run around the town to look at everything

Your pupils dilate at the twinkling city lights

Stars are seen despite the hovering smog

Their illuminescence captures everyone's attention

Brown, blue, and green irises reflect a colorful life

Besides the Rapid Eye Movement, the town doesn't sleep

It's awake, alive, and breathing at all hours of the day

With it's stringing lights shining as bright as the sun

The moon falls and dawn is approaching

The sky paints colors that drip down to Earth

In the form of breathtaking electricity
