Chapter 6 - Link's family

---Chapter 6---

Link's family

"Coming!" A female voice called form the inside of the house. We heard loud footsteps rapidly approach the door before the doorknob clicked and the door swung open. Standing in front of us was a tall, brown haired woman, with pointed ears like Link's. She was wearing a Halloween costume; a purple and white dress with brown boots and gloves that went just above her elbow. She was also wearing a beautiful golden tiara. She must've been a princess.

"Hiya Mel! I haven't seen you in such a long time." The woman smiled at my cousin and engulfed her in a hug. Mel hugged back. "I know! I'm sorry, I didn't realize we had to dress up in a costume." The brunette shook her head.

"It's fine. It's just in case any trick or treaters come over." Mel nodded in understanding before the pointy eared woman turned to look at Rock. "Hello Rock. It's lovely to see you again, how has college been recently?"

"Hi Zelda, college is good." He said before gripping my shoulders. The tall lady then glanced at me, continuing to show her smile. "And this is Villa I presume?" Once again nervousness washed over me and I bowed my head whilst nodding. I could tell Rock was finding it amusing; my shyness. I didn't understand what had happened. In the past I had been a fairly confident person and didn't care what people thought...I guess maybe I got used to people treating me in such a way that my confidence just slipped away.

"Yeah, this is Villa." Mel introduced us to each other and we both said 'hello'. "Nice sweater by the way." I thanked her for her compliment; dang that sweater seemed to reel in the compliments. "Anyway come in, don't want you to catch a cold now do we? It's the weirdest thing, boiling hot during the day, but the second the sun goes it turns as cold as a winter's eve." The brunette stepped to the side as us three shuffled through the entry. I stuck close to Rock as Zelda lead us through the hall and into the kitchen.

Their house's layout was surprisingly similar to ours; it had a hall which had a large doorway leading to the living room, a stairway on the left hand side of the hall with a small door underneath, and a gap in between that was linked to the kitchen.

When we all got into to kitchen, there was a boy standing there with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. He looked very similar to Link. The teen wore a green tunic with white tights and a pair of brown boots. When he saw us enter he grinned mischievously at me and bent down to my height. "Hey little guy. You must be Villa." I nodded, a little creeped out. He carried on grinning at me whilst ruffling my hair.

"It's nice to meet you, TL won't stop talking about you." I blinked out of confusion when Rock leaned down and whispered that he meant 'Link'. I blushed and couldn't stop the smile spreading on my face, no one seemed to notice though. "Oh I should explain. See, I'm also called Link." I widened my eyes. There were TWO Links? How the heck did that happen? Rock saw my face and muttered under his breath how 'priceless' my face was. "Yeah I know, confusing. So whenever he's at home we call him TL, well except for Aryll." I bob my head up and down, showing I got what he was saying.

"Anyway, do you want me to take you up to him? He's probably with his sister right now actually." Link took my hand gently and took me away from my cousins. I have them an anxious look before I left and they gave me a small wave and a thumbs up as some kind of support. It did reassure me a little...

We walked up the stairs in silence. At reaching the second floor, I saw two doors either side of us. The door on the left was decorated with little instruments like an Ocarina, a Pan flute, a Lyre. It also had three fairies coloured Red, Blue and Yellow as well as a sword and shield surrounding a sign that read 'TL's room.'

The door to the right was covered in segulls, seashells; all things ocean and beach related. The sign read 'Aryll's room'. Link lead me to Aryll's room and knocked on the door. "Aryll?"
