Love n' Stuff

"L-Link..." I whispered. He didn't say nothing, just gave me a blank expression. It hurt a little, He hadn't ever given me such a cold and empty look. 

"Why are you encouraging her to leave Villa?" I sighed.

"Link, it's a great opportunity for her if she gets in! You can't hold her back from this." The blonde looks down at me, a frown on his face as he sighs heavily. I continue to brush my thumb over his right cheek as my other arm rests itself on his shoulder, my fingers wrapping around the ends of his fluffy blonde hair. "I know you love her, but I think if you hold her back from this its gonna stop her from achieving great things! Don't you want that for her?"

"I-I do! Of course I want nothing but the best for her," TL wraps his arms around my waist and brings me as close as possible to him. "I-It's just..." 

"What?" I ask him in a barely audible whisper.

"Because Villa, when Aryll was younger, about five years old, she got really sick. So sick the doctors weren't sure if she was even going to make it out alive. I was so afraid of losing her, after all she was pretty much the only connection I had left to my mom! That and I had made a promise to myself a few years beforehand that I would do everything to keep her safe, even if it meant putting my life at risk." I say nothing as I listen to TL's story. "Thankfully she did make it and I was so relieved. But Villa, look at the facts! My mom died after giving birth to my sister, my sister got sick five years later, my grandma is in hospital. I don't know how long my grandma has left and I don't want to lose her and Aryll at the same time! I know, I know it's so selfish of me-" I press a finger up to his lips and 'sh' him. He blushes a little and widens his eyes slightly, but hushes.

"No, it's not." I try to reassure him, shaking my head gently and keeping our pupils locked. "I get it, you're scared." The blonde nods and takes a deep breath in, trying to stop himself from crying.  

"...What if she gets ill while shes at the boarding school Villa?" He mutters quietly, his voice wavering. "I won't be able to go and see her will I?" I snake both my arms around his neck and bring him in for a hug. He follows and both his arms encase my body as his head nuzzles my neck. We stand and say nothing to each other. Thinking back to November I remembered Aryll saying how protective Link could be of her. But did she know it was because she had been ill when she was younger? I was pretty certain that if she did know she wouldn't be quite as willing to take risks as she was. I bet whenever someone told her to wear lots of layers so she didn't catch a cold, she just thought of it as nothing. Whereas in reality everyone meant it quite seriously. 

"Does Aryll know that she was ill?" Pause.

"No. We kept it a secret." I hear Link mumble into my ear before he pulls back from our hug. He slides a hand up to my head and ruffles my hair, his eyes half lidded as I look up at him. I just nod.

"...Link I think you-"

"Should let Aryll go? Yeah...I know." Shutting my mouth I lower my gaze to the kitchen floor and kick my feet around nervously.

"I must admit I thought it take you a lot longer to persuade me to change my mind." I look back up at him. "Your lucky your cute." The blonde smiles at me and leans down to peck my cheek, making my cheeks dust pink. We decided to start relaxing a little more so I got out the ice cream and we both got changed into our pajama's. Then TL brought his bed covers downstairs and a few DVD's to marathon, the first one we watched was this one about this girl that floated down from the sky and this boy that found her and they got chased by both pirates and the government. It was a very good movie, I loved it a lot. I even asked TL if I was aloud to borrow it sometime.
