SUMMER, IN OPHELIA'S OPINION, is positively the most perfect time of the year. Her skin fades to a bronze shade with freckles dancing across her nose and cheeks, and the sun-kissed look is something that New York lacks when it's winter and everyone is wrapped in fur jackets and Gucci scarves.

After spending three weeks in the Amalfi Coast with Enzo, Ophelia heads up to the east end of Long Island — more commonly known as the Hamptons. There resides luxurious homes with those from affluent backgrounds, flashing their wealth as they drive around in Porches and Camaros to head to the beach for a day of sun-tanning and frolicking in the cerulean waves. It's perfection and Ophelia sometimes doesn't ever want to leave.

Blair remained in France for the entirety of the summer until her arrival for the white party, and Ophelia had previously assumed that Chuck was with her, however when she spotted the Bass heir on the beach with two sets of twins beneath an umbrella and behind a barrier, Ophelia's confusion piques. She only finds out when Blair reluctantly tells her that Chuck had abandoned her at the airport and she was left to travel on her lonesome.

Ophelia was half-tempted to go over to Chuck and give him a piece of her mind ( and a small punch to the face ) but Blair talked her down, her own masterplan underway. And with Blair Waldorf, revenge is always served cold — and bitter.

So, Ophelia resides to her grandparents home — that being Pandora and Thomas Hughes, her mother's parents — and occasionally visiting those of her father's parents too; Sebastian and Annabelle Baudelaire. Her and Serena, if possible, grow closer on the weeks of the summer holidays, while Ophelia encourages her to branch out and date some of the attractive men of the Hamptons and get past her broken relationship with Dan, yet also attending brunches together and pool days where they down jugs of vodka-punch and Pina coladas. It's a picture-perfect summer break and it only makes things better when Enzo joins her for the remainder of the break.
