Lights POV:
"Does she know you're L?" I asked. She just came out of nowhere and knew him? A bit suspicious, if you ask me..
"No, and I don't plan on telling her, for now. Please let this be a private matter. She knows nothing about me being associated to all of this."
"You seem to really like her." I tested the waters.
"I do."
He seemed genuine about her. If she's gullible enough, I could...-
"Alright, let's go back. It's not nice to keep a woman waiting, right Ryuga?"
"Yea."

L's POV:
I got him to believe me, i think. He didn't seem very suspicious.
In truth, this is still all an act. I mean, i do like Y/n, but as a work partner, not romantically.
As for why i did this whole date stick, it would give us a number of advantages in the future.
-First of all, It would make us seem closer, giving him more space to manipulate Y/n. That is, If he really is Kira.
-Second, i wanted to test her improvisation skills. I'm impressed by how well she averted the situation.

"What took you two so long? Is it important? I wanna know too!"
"Oh uhm.. it's a bit private." Light stated, not wanting to reveal my secret.
"Oh.. I understand." She said, looking down on her plate, picking up a fork and playing around with her dessert a bit before stuffing her mouth as elegantly as she could.
Should I play my part and be a bit romantic too? To make it believable?
"Hey.. A/n?"
"Yeah?"
"You want a kiss?"
"Wait wha-" she said before i stuffed a chocolate kiss in her mouth, giggling a bit.
Confused at first, she gave me an unimpressed look
"har har." She gave me a fake laugh, but giggled soon after.

Y/n's POV:
What has gotten into him? First he says it's a date, now this? what is he plotting?
even Light was shocked!! L, The world famous detective was sitting next to him, flirting with a girl. Unbelievable!
Light looked away for a second, and you mouthed "Wait till he leaves." In an angry tone to him, earning a silent chuckle from L.
"Guys, it's getting late. I'm sure my dad's getting worried. I'll be on my way now."
"Aww, alright, see you tomorrow at school!"
"Oh uhm, Bye." L said awkwardly
"God Ryuga you're so awkward" you stated with a fake chuckle attached.
Waving Light goodbye, you turned to L, giving him the worst look you could give.
"What was that all about???"
"I tried testing you. Your improvising skills are sharp, Good job."
"Thats all you can say?? That was so embarrassing!" You sighed as you snatched a piece of cake from his grasp and took a piece.
"You'll live." He teased with a ghost of a smile on his face.
Sighing at his response, you waited for him to finish eating, taking a peace of his food once in a while, earning a pout from him.
When he finished, the waiter brought the bill out.
"44 thousand yen.. how do you keep up with this diet?"
"Being the world's best detective pays off."
"Don't get cocky now." You said, stuffing a bit of money into the wallet they placed on your table and standing up.
He did the same, slowly walking towards the car. As you were about to open the car door, he did it for you.
"Seriously, what has gotten into you?" You questioned.
"Whatever. Just get in." he said, a bit embarrassed.
After you guys arrived back home, you decided you would start organizing your stuff into the Room L lended you.
Seeing as there was a lot to sort, you didn't see the harm in asking L for help. He didn't seem very busy anyway.
"HEY LLLLLL???" You yelled out.
"What?" You could faintly hear.
"Could you help me out here???"
"What is it." he stated opening the door to your room.
"Can you help me unpack? I'm tired after today, and theres so much to unpack."
"Seriously?" He asked, not expecting an answer. Despite his reaction, he kneeled down to your luggage, blindly picking up a stack of laundry, hanging it onto the hangers.
The air started feeling off, so you felt it was your duty to strike a chat.
"So.. do you plan on staying at the school for long?" You asked, trying to ease the awkwardness a bit.
"No.. only until i can finish what i was planning" He answered as he put a few clothes on some hangers
you doing the same, you tried keeping the conversation alive.
"Right. Do you think he's suspicious of me?"
"No, not necessarily. But if he is Kira, he's 100% gonna try to manipulate the situation. If he thinks i actually like you he's gonna use that to manipulate you into telling him more about me. Keep up the naive personality and he's eventually gonna reveal some things about himself to make himself less suspicious to you."
"So you don't actually like me? Did that kiss mean nothing to you?" you attempted to tease him, a fake pout on your lips.
You swore you could hear a little giggle come from him, but that was immediately interrupted by his phone ringing.
"I gotta take this. You can finish the rest alone, right?"
"Yeah, sure."
