The poor girl that Gojo was at the club with was taken there only for the discounted drinks. Of course, she didn't know that at the time until she woke up in her bed to see that the side next to her was suddenly empty.

Gojo didn't give interactions like this much thought. He knows himself well enough to understand that he's not the type to be tied down by a relationship. In fact, your friendship was probably the closest thing he's ever had to a real relationship.

Yes, funnily enough, the annoyingly attractive man has never had a true relationship.

Gojo keeps his head held high after he leaves your apartment complex. Still, there's something that doesn't sit right about him not being able to talk to you. Though your original assumptions of his ego simply being hurt was true in the slightest, there was something more. His sudden barging into your place and plead for a conversation with you was a result of his lack of knowing what to do for himself.

Even though he thought of your position in his life as nothing more than his reliable party friend, he now feared that you'd disappear from his life completely. Thus, the idea that Gojo doesn't seem like the type to appreciate what he has until it's gone has been solidified in him.

The truth is though, the night that he saw you with Choso for the first time, he felt a pang of jealousy in his chest. At first, it was a feeling that he couldn't really place- he had never felt that way about you before. The feeling confused him so much to the point where he couldn't do anything but brush it off in the moment.

Quite frankly, there was some kind of attraction behind his behaviors towards you, and it wasn't something necessarily new. However, it was a puzzling attraction for him, not strong enough for him to acknowledge but not small enough for him to write it off as something as fleeting as infatuation.

After all, he never asked anyone else to go drinking and partying with him other than you. He felt comfortable around you, there was a side of you that made him feel alive and more present than he had with other women- even those that he let into his bed. But at the end of the day, he still led you on, taking home all the pretty woman he took a liking to, except you.

In a way, Gojo's right- at least partially with the fact that a conversation was certainly needed, more for your own closure than his. You can't decide for yourself whether he even deserves that conversation, but you know you do.

Behind your own feelings towards him, he was still a friend of yours- a douchebag of a companion, but still one nonetheless.

As much as you dreamed about it, at the end of the day, you knew that you'd never be his one, and he'd never be yours.
