The Night You Met | Choso FocusThe months have started to string together for him since Yuki up and left without a single word. He had only heard from her for the first time in three months, today. And it's an understatement just to say that it nearly turned his entire world upside down. He had only just begun to release his grasp on what they could have become, finger by finger.
As he attempted to further sink himself in the middle cushion of his couch, his phone buzzed again. The screen lit up to reveal a double text from Yuki.
Yuki
Hi sweetness~
I'm in town. Let me come by?"Fuck." He muttered under his breath, covering his face with the calloused palms of his hands. He knew deep down the question mark didn't mean anything. She always told and never asked. Partially, he enjoyed that kind of demanding and assertive nature about her. She brought a good energetic balance to his normally secluded and quiet demeanor.
He sat up and rubbed the frustration from his eyes while he thought of his solutions to his new issue. He knew she'd bring him hell if he ever let her in again. Truthfully he didn't want to let her in again, but sometimes she didn't care what he wanted and she always found away to weasel her way back in.
He really could just make a run for it before she could ever step foot on the property. Disappearing without a single explanation, just like what she had done to him. But there was a part of him that kept him glued to the couch, awaiting the sound of her knuckles rapping against the wood of the front door.
He spent every minute fighting with himself with the angel and devil perched upon each shoulder. The devil urged him to finally give her a brutally honest piece of his mind, while the angel chimed in, interrupting with the suggestion that he should give her another chance.
As the clock ticked by, his time to decide eventually ran out as a gentle yet spritely knock sounded at his door- just as expected. His hand hesitated around the knob as he slowly turned it. He pulled the door open to see his old flame standing the same as if she had never left. Despite his anger towards her, his eyes immediately softened at the sight of her.
"Hi, Choso." She purred at him happily with a gleaming smile, already taking it upon herself to step foot in his apartment as if it were her own.
"What are you doing here?" He asked her, his tone shy, taking no time to succumb to her sudden and alluring presence.
"I told you I was coming. I missed you. Why else?" She cheerily replied, a blatant half-truth; Choso knew there had to be something else to it. Turning up again and texting out of the blue after months of no contact- there was always some underlying reason with her.
She pulled him onto the couch with her, forcing him to plop down next to her with their shoulders touching.
"Aren't you gonna tell me that you missed me, too?" She says, batting her lashes at him shamelessly. He stuck the tip of his tongue into his cheek as he tried his damnest not to meet her gaze.
"I think you should leave." He muttered to her, turning away from her as he folded his arms tightly over his chest.
"But you don't want me to." She retorted, tilting her head forward in front of his, forcing him to meet the pink eyes that he used to find himself lost in so often. "Do you?"
