Waking up with a start when I smell smoke I quickly jump to my feet and rush to the kitchen where I see Raedan holding a pan with burnt food in it I quickly nudging him out of the way turning the stove off and throw the pan in the sink. I then look at the familiar with narrowed eyes. "What the hell were you doing?!" He pouts. "I was trying to make you breakfast because you've been having a hard time." I sigh and pinch the bridge of my nose. "Raedan you know you can't cook. I appreciate you thinking of me but I'd rather you not burn the apartment down." He huffs and I shake my head before saying softly. "I have to go to the bookstore so how about I stop at your favorite cafe on my way back home?" He immediately perks up and grins nodding eagerly I smiling softly. "I'll be back soon okay? Try not to cause trouble." He smirks and says simply as I head to my bedroom. "No promises." I pause and turn giving him a stern look. "So help me Park Raedan if you cause trouble before I get back I won't hesitate to spray you down with holy water." His eyes widen since he knows it doesn't feel good and he immediately squeaks out an "I'll be good." I nod in approval then rush to my room pulling on a sweater and jeans with a winter jacket then pull on some boots before quickly brushing my teeth and grab my phone heading outside. I take a deep breath and head down the street heading to my favorite bookstore I immediately making my way inside and greet the owner before going to the back to look through the new books put out. I look through the different books when I spot one that catches my attention I instinctively going to reach for it when my hand bumps into another one and my gaze turns to see a man who's wearing a cap and mask I vaguely recognizing him as the man who gave me his jacket yesterday. "Oh I'm sorry. Go ahead and take it." He immediately speaks up in a kind voice. "Are you sure? You wanted to read it as well right?" I give him a little smile. "It's fine consider it a thank you for yesterday." His eyes show surprise. "You recognize me?" I give a little nod smiling shyly. "From your eyes and then when you spoke I recognized your voice." He immediately says a little sheepishly. "Oh. Well are you sure that you don't want to get the book?" I smile reassuringly. "I'm sure. You go ahead and get it. I can get something else." He slowly nods and grabs the book while I look through the others making a different choice. We both then head to the cash register I letting him go first as I dig out my wallet. He quickly pays then I step up to pay when my phone starts going off I quickly grabbing it and sigh when I see Raedan I answering it. "Yes? What do you want?" He immediately whines through the phone. "Are you done yet? I'm hungry and want coffee!" I grumble a little but say reassuringly to him. "Yes I'm on my way now. I'll see you soon." I then hang up and smile apologetically at the owner before handing over my money. I get my change then turn and am surprised to see the man from yesterday still there. He looks at me a little curiously. "So I'm guessing you have to go?" I nod. "Yeah I promised my roommate breakfast and coffee and he's super impatient and gets sulky if I'm late." He gives a little nod. "Well thanks for letting me have the book." I smile kindly bowing. "No problem. Goodbye." He wishes me a soft goodbye and I rush out the door and head to the nearby cafe where I get mine and Raedan's coffee orders and buy him his favorite pastries. I then rush home and call out after taking off my shoes. "I'm home!" I soon hear footsteps and Raedan runs up to me eagerly. "Gimme gimme gimme!" I chuckle and hand him his coffee and pastries he rushing off and I sip my own coffee before following him. "So you'll never guess what happened." He looks at me curiously his face stuffed with a danish and I look at him in amusement as he chews and swallows I handing him a napkin. He wipes his face before asking curiously. "What happened?" I smile and say cheerfully. "I ran into the guy who gave me his jacket yesterday at the bookstore. We were reaching for the same book but I let him have it." He hums before asking. "What's he look like?" I hesitate before saying sheepishly. "I uh I actually haven't seen anything but his eyes. He was wearing a cap and mask to cover his face." Raedan raises an eyebrow at me. "He hides his face? What if he's deformed or something?" I give him a slight look. "Well he's a nice guy and his eyes are really beautiful. So what if he might be deformed? Looks don't always matter." He holds his hands up in defense. "Sorry I didn't mean to make you upset." I grumble then look at him with a wide grin. "I know how you can make it up to me." His eyes narrow before he groans. "Don't tell me. K-pop videos of your stupid boy group." I give him a dirty look. "They aren't stupid." He grumbles a little. "Do I have to?" I immediately give him puppy dog eyes. "Please?" He grimaces and sighs. "Alright fine." I grin happily and dart off to get my laptop before I come back to the living room and sit down putting it where we can both see it then go to YouTube and type in Golden child then immediately click on one of their videos before settling down beside Raedan we spending the day watching different videos.
