Ch 8

(Bomin's Pov)

Sitting on the couch waiting for Talon to come back I suddenly notice his cat walk in he hopping up in the chair next to me. "Oh hey little fella." The cat gives me a look and then the next thing I know the cat suddenly becomes a human I jumping and scramble back against the couch arm in shock. "What the heck?!" The man smirks at me saying mockingly as I gape at him. "Oh what's the matter? Cat got your tongue?" I stare at him in disbelief as he just lounges back against the chair saying simply. "I don't know if I like you or not. You're an idol and can have any person in the whole world yet you're hanging around Talon. Why?" I immediately frown at him. "Because I feel like he's a nice person who cares deeply and I feel a connection with him. Why are you putting your friend down?" His eyes narrow at me before he hisses at me warningly. "Watch yourself. I'm not trying to put him down. I'm trying to ensure he won't end up heartbroken." I go to say something when I suddenly hear Talon let out a frustrated groan. "Dammit Raedan are you trying to scare him off?" Said man gives Talon a look. "If he's going to hang around he needs to get used to it." I immediately speak up looking at Talon. "Why exactly does your cat turn into a human?" Talon looks at me and explains softly. "He's my familiar. A demon creature that transforms into an animal who's also my guardian assigned to me by the council. He protects me and makes sure I don't get physically hurt or use too much magic." The young man Raedan looks at Talon with a smirk. "You can also call me your soulmate." I immediately feel my stomach twist with a weird feeling as Talon rolls his eyes. "I'm going to go fix dinner. Make sure not to kill each other. I'm talking to you Raedan." Talon quickly leaves the living room I staring after him when I hear the young man's throat clear I jumping and look at him seeing him smirk at me. "You look like a lovesick puppy." I immediately say defensively even though I'm blushing. "I do not!" He raises an eyebrow at me in amusement. "If you want to make a move do it now or forever hold your peace." I frown giving him a weird confused look. "But you just said a minute ago you guys are soulmates and meant to be." He studies me for a minute before he bursts out laughing I immediately feeling confused and annoyed. "What's so funny?!" He looks at me in amusement. "You're so stupid that's what's funny. Do your research on witches and familiars before you decide to give up." I go to say something when Talon calls out cheerfully. "Foods ready guys!" We both get up and head to the kitchen I taking a seat and Talon sits beside me Raedan in front of us. Me and Raedan eat happily but I notice Talon's barely touching his food I feeling concerned. "Are you still feeling guilty about hurting those bullies?" He looks at me and nods pitifully Raedan speaking up in shock. "Wait what? You finally hurt those asshats?" Talon gives him a slight look. "I didn't mean to! I got upset and frustrated so my powers slipped and ended up flinging them against the wall." Raedan smirks looking proud. "Good maybe it'll finally scare them into leaving you alone." Talon shakes his head I speaking up. "I'm sure they didn't get hurt too bad. And it's good that you stood up for yourself." He gives me a slight look now. "I promised myself I'd never use magic to hurt people unless it came to an extreme situation. I don't want to become some monster who uses their powers to hurt others even if they torture me and make me miserable." He shoves his plate aside and I watch as he gets up and storms off I frowning a little. It's quiet before Raedan speaks up. "He's way too nice and kind hearted. But you should probably go." I look at him and reluctantly nod even though I really don't want to leave but I get up and bow to the older. "Have him text me later so we can discuss him coming to the amusement park with us in a few days." He nods and I leave the apartment putting on my cap and mask before heading back to the dorm. As I'm entering I'm a little lost in thought that I don't notice the other members watching me as I head to mine and Donghyun's room. I grab some comfortable clothes and go change then I sit on my bed before I pull my phone out and start doing research on witches and familiars. As I'm doing research I don't find much just the explanation of what familiars are and how usually the witch and their familiar would die for each other because of their strong bond. Sighing I exit out of the page and feel a little worse about starting to become interested in Talon. Shaking my head I put my phone on the charger and lay down slowly falling asleep.
