Ch 2

The next morning I jolt awake at my alarm of Ra Pam Pam by Golden child one of my favorite Kpop groups. I then pull on my glasses and rush to get ready in a simple sweater and jeans I brushing my hair and teeth then grab my notes, backpack, phone and the small container of cupcakes before wishing Raedan a goodbye and rush off to college. I go to my first few classes I exiting the last class when I suddenly spot Changho I rushing over with the container after opening it. "Changho hyung!" The older male turns to me and looks curious I immediately blushing but say softly. "I made these cupcakes for you and I was wondering if you would like to go out sometime." He stares at me before bursting into laughter a pang immediately hitting my chest. "You seriously thought that I'd go on a date with you? The witch freak? I would never go out with someone like you. I was only nice to you because the teachers threatened my grade. Plus I'm not a fag." I flinch and my eyes well up with tears I going to say something when suddenly the container of cupcakes is being shoved in my face I immediately spluttering at the chocolate going up my nose. I take my glasses off since they're covered in chocolate and hear the whole school laughing. I then immediately dart off crying as I stumble my way home I quickly bypassing Raedan heading for the bathroom. I shut and lock the door before changing out of the clothes and get in the shower after washing my glasses covered in frosting. I silently wash up and get out putting my glasses on then I head to my room with a towel around my waist where Raedan is sitting on my bed a frown on his face as I dig through my clothes. I find some comfortable pajamas then motion for Raedan to turn around he doing so and I quickly get dressed. "Alright I'm decent." He turns back around and I head to my bed falling onto it face first burying my face in a pillow miserably. "You wanna talk about it?" I lift my head and give him a miserable look. "I just want someone to love me romantically is that too much to ask? All through high school I was rejected for being too nerdy. Now I'm seen as a freak for being a witch and being gay." Raedan's expression softens. "I'm sure you'll find love soon." I immediately grumble scrambling off my bed. "Soon isn't good enough." I rush to my book shelf and grab my spell book before rushing back over to the bed I sitting down and swish my finger causing the book to open. I then flip through it going over the different spells carefully only to come to the back I finding a spell curiously. "True love spell? Hmm." I then read through the passage. "This spell will ensure that you find true love within sixty days and be on your way to happiness." I immediately brighten up before studying the ingredients I need Raedan eyeing me warily. "I don't know Talon. I wouldn't mess with love it's tricky and complicated." I give him a slight look. "Your concerns are duly noted now help me with getting these ingredients." He sighs but we get up and go to my potion pantry I immediately going to grab some of the simple things like candles, chalk, rose petals then the more complicated items like some holy water, salt, fairy dust, a four leaf clover blessed by a leprechaun and finally a small vial of demon blood. Once everything is gathered I head to the living room pushing the couches and chairs out of the way before drawing a pentagram on the wooden floor with chalk and set the candles perfectly in place. I then set a bowl of holy water in the center with me before spreading some of the rose petals in the water and some around the bowl then mix in the magical ingredients. I take a breath then take a pocket knife and cut a small wound on my hand I starting to say the spell as I let three drops of my blood enter the mixture my breath getting sucked out of me as the rose petals around the bowl start rising in the air and fly around me before exploding in little sparks the candles all going out as well. Finally able to breathe again I can't help but look at Raedan who's watching me intently I feeling drained so I stand up and stretch. "I'm going to go to bed. I guess we'll see if the spell works later." He reluctantly lets me go to bed and I climb in under the covers slowly dozing off.
