Ch 7

The next morning I wake up to my alarm but I notice that I struggle to get up it feeling like I'm a little drained still. Finally managing to get up I grab my glasses and put them on before turning my alarm off I surprised to see a text from Bomin wishing me good morning and asks if we're still meeting today. I send him a good morning back and assure him we're still meeting before I go to my closet digging out a simple black t shirt and jeans with a black and grey checkered jacket. I then slip on my shoes and gather my things before I make my way to the living room I stumbling a little and almost fall when Raedan steadies me. "Whoa there bub. You okay?" I look up at him and give a reassuring smile. "I'm fine." He frowns seeming to study me. "You still look a little pale and your eyes are a bit duller than usual." I wave him off saying softly. "I feel fine. I gotta get going the faster I get to school the faster I get to meet up with Bomin." Raedan grabs my arm gently tugging me back when I try to walk off. "You need to be careful Talon he's an idol. Which means he can have multiple people who would die to be with him." I give him a slight look. "That's not nice Raedan you shouldn't judge him for being an idol." He gives me a slight look saying protectively. "It's my job to look out for and protect you and I haven't gotten a read on this guy yet like whether he's just expecting friendship or is trying to get you into bed or what." I immediately look a little hurt. "You don't think someone could genuinely be interested in me?" He immediately looks panicked as tears start to fill my eyes. "No! That's not what I meant!" I sniffle and yank my arm away from him harshly. "I have to get to class." I quickly grab my backpack and book it out the door ignoring Raedan's cries and pleads for me to come back. I finally manage to make it to school and head to my classes focusing on school work and notes until it's finally the end of the day. I quickly grab my things, adjust my glasses and head for the door when my name's suddenly called I pausing my body tense I really not in the mood to deal with this today. I reluctantly turn around snapping aggressively. "What?" The bullies seem shocked for a moment before the leader speaks up. "Where do you think you're going freak? You haven't had your fun with us today." Feeling aggravated and annoyed I clench my fists tightly as the three guys start to approach I finally snapping and yell out angrily feeling like a small explosion comes from me. "Leave me alone!" Next thing I know all three of the bullies are flung backwards hitting the wall and floor hard I cringing then quickly run off to the bookstore. Once I spot a familiar figure I head over mumbling miserably. "Hello." Bomin looks down at me a worried look in his eyes. "You alright?" I sigh and shake my head no. "I've had a rough day. First my best friend and I had a fight and then I was cornered by some bullies and I accidentally hurt them using my powers and now I feel bad." It's quiet for a moment then suddenly I'm being lead inside the store to the very back of a reading nook. We take a seat at the table and he takes the mask off looking at me with a frown. "First I'll address the bullies. How did you hurt them?" I immediately cringe. "My powers kinda came out because of my feelings of anger and I threw them against a wall really hard." He tilts his head at me. "Well how bad did they bully you?" I grimace and mumble softly fidgeting with my glasses. "If I wasn't being beaten up I'd be covered in eggs or have cupcakes smashed in my face." Bomin frowns looking a little angry. "That's horrible. They deserved a little payback for hurting you so don't feel bad." I give a little shrug and he changes the subject. "Now what was this fight with your best friend about?" I immediately cringe and feel insecure and emotional. "He basically told me that he doesn't think someone could genuinely be interested in me. His exact words were that he doesn't know whether a potential date is just expecting friendship or is trying to get me into bed or what." Bomin frowns looking sympathetic. "I'm sorry. You guys are pretty close huh?" I nod starting to sniffle. "I just feel hurt that he could say something like that to me. I mean sure I'm not the best looking guy in the world but I like to think that I'm at least decent. I always had that hope that at least one person would one day love me and be proud of having me by their side. But now I don't see that happening." Bomin frowns and says firmly. "You shouldn't listen to what was said. You would be an amazing other half to someone. And I'm sure you'll find love one day." I study his face before saying sheepishly. "Thanks for making me feel better." He smiles assuring me he's glad that I'm happy again. I then check the time before looking at Bomin. "You wanna come over to my place? We can have a small dinner together." He smiles at me. "I'd like that let's go." We get up and head to the front door he about to put his mask on when I gently reach up touching his face to give him a little low level cloaking spell. "There now you don't have to wear your mask." He smiles appreciatively then we start walking to my apartment chatting the entire way. Once we reach my apartment I open the door leading him in and we slip our shoes off before I lead him to the living room. "I'm going to go change right quick I'll be right back." I head for my room unknowingly leaving Bomin in the living room with Raedan.
