Ch 9

It's the day I'm going to the amusement park with the guys and for some reason I feel really drained but I ignore it getting everything ready. I asked Bomin to ask the others if I could bring Raedan since he's always stuck in the house they having thankfully agreed. After I'm ready I go to check on Raedan. "Hey you ready yet?" He looks up and nods smiling. "Yep. Are you excited to see lover boy?" I immediately blush and give him a dirty look. "I'm pretty sure he doesn't like me that way Raedan." He shrugs before looking at me in concern. "You look pale and tired are you okay?" I give him a reassuring smile. "I feel fine I promise." He raises an eyebrow at me but I keep the reassuring smile on my face. "Alright let's go then." I nod and lead him outside where the guys are supposed to have a car pick us up. Once the car arrives we get in back and I anxiously look out the window. As we reach the amusement park we get out and I spot the others I leading Raedan over saying happily. "Hi everyone." They all turn to us and greet me cheerfully I smiling and motion to Raedan. "This is my best friend Raedan. I appreciate you letting me bring him he hardly gets out of the house." They all start to introduce themselves but Raedan cuts them off. "Trust me I know who you all are. Witchy over here watches your music videos constantly." I immediately blush feeling embarrassed and mortified as the guys except for Bomin look at me in surprise. "We didn't know that you were a fan." I shrug at Daeyeol. "I didn't want to make you guys uncomfortable by freaking out." They all give me appreciative looks and Raedan speaks up. "Shall we get started?" The others nod and Daeyeol goes into leader mode. "Alright everyone get in a group or pair." I go to look at Raedan only for him to gently shove me in Bomin's direction I stumbling a little and trip over my feet starting to fall I quickly shutting my eyes only to slowly open them when I don't feel the hard ground. I look up cautiously only to blush when I see I'm in Bomin's arms. "Sorry Raedan kinda shoved me and I got off balance." He gives me a little reassuring smile helping steady me. "It's alright. Um do you want to be a pair?" I shyly agree only to pause and look around for Raedan only to see him chatting with Daeyeol I looking a little surprised. "Huh. I guess our hyungs are getting along." He looks over and blinks looking a little surprised as well. Soon everyone starts going their own way I looking at Bomin with a smile. "Let's go walk around." He nods in agreement and we start heading in a random direction it quiet between us at first before I say softly. "The bullies have backed off a little since that incident. I still feel bad though." He looks down at me sympathetically. "You're a good person Talon they shouldn't have been so cruel to you and you have a right to defend yourself." I give a soft "I guess." We then turn a corner I seeing the gaming stalls I observing them all in boredom until I stop when I see a black cat plushy that looks exactly like a mini Raedan. Bomin looks down at me curiously before following my gaze then grabs my hand leading me over to the stall. The man running it giving us a smile. "All you have to do is get the football through the ring and you have three tries." Bomin nods and pays the price before taking the ball pulling his arm back before he throws the ball it going over the hoop instead of through. He makes a soft noise before he grabs the ball from the older man then aims again and throws it almost going in but doesn't quite make it. I see Bomin get frustrated I saying reassuringly. "It's fine Bomin I don't need the cat." He immediately says stubbornly. "One more time." I sigh but nod and he grabs the last ball and aims before throwing it I immediately shocked because it goes through the hoop. Bomin smiles and points out the stuffed cat before he hands it to me I blushing but cuddle the stuffed animal. "Thank you so much." He smiles and leads me away I playing with the stuffed animal. "I'm going to name him RJ for Raedan junior because he looks exactly like Raedan's cat form." Bomin gives me an amused look before asking curiously. "How long have you guys know each other?" I blink before saying softly. "He was assigned to me at age fourteen when I first started magic. We were both half breeds so the council thought we'd fit together." I see Bomin gives me a confused look. "What do you mean by you're both half breeds?" We come up to a bench and I grab his hand leading him over to it we taking a seat and I explain. "My moms a witch but my dads human. So I'm considered a half breed and Raedan's dad is a demon while his mom is human so he's a half breed as well. It's basically how we became friends because we were both bullied for it in school." Bomin nods in understanding. "So speaking of school did you go to public school or....?" I shake my head no. "I went to a private academy for supernatural creatures. Raedan moved to the school from Korea and he taught me Korean so we could bad mouth the bullies without them understanding us." He gives me an amused look. "So you said you didn't start magic until you were fourteen right? Any particular reason?" I'm quiet for a moment before I answer honestly. "I didn't think I would go down the magic path. But then my puberty hit and I got my special talent." I see Bomin look curious so I explain. "Each witch has some special talent or ability when they reach a certain age. I was actually a late bloomer because you're supposed to receive your gift at around twelve." Bomin nods looking intrigued. "What's your special ability?" I hum before saying simply. "I can immediately tell a persons personality by their aura and I also know if someone lies to me." He tilts his head at me. "That's interesting. Does everyone have the same colored aura or what?" I smile a little at his interest in my magic adjusting my glasses and cuddling the small stuffed cat to my chest. "There's certain colors associated with certain things. White means pure, black or grey means bad or not a good person in general. Then there's blue which is a calm peaceful person, there's also yellow which means bright personality." He immediately asks in a curious excited voice. "What color is my aura?" I smile in amusement. "Yours is purple, green and red. Which means playful, a trickster and warm hearted." He looks intrigued I able to tell he's wanting to ask more when suddenly my phone buzzes seeing it's Raedan telling me it's time to go. "We better head to the front." He looks a little disappointed but nods and we get up heading to the front entrance where the others are Raedan making his way over curiously. "Whatcha got there?" I smile and show him the stuffed cat. "Bomin won me your mini me." He gives me an unamused look and I giggle at his expression when suddenly Daeyeol hyung gets our attention. "You should both come over for a sleepover sometime. We can all hang out and have fun." I immediately look a little surprised. "Are you sure? We don't want to intrude." They all reassure us it's fine and we're welcome to come so I grin happily. "Okay! Just text me the details!" I then reluctantly wish everyone goodbye as the car pulls up we getting in and once we get home I stumble my way to bed where I immediately fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.
