Alec roller over in bed, head against a sleeping Magnus's chest. The two boys were exhausted. Alec had his arms around Magnus's waist then, and Magnus snaked his arm around Alec.
It was eight in the morning, and the two should really have been awake already. Magnus is usually the first awake, and always up early.
After everything, though, the boys needed to sleep.
It was now an hour later. Alec blinked his eyes open, looking up at Magnus. "Magnus, wake up," Alec smiled and nudged Magnus. He woke up immediately, looking down at Alec. "Hm? Oh, good morning."
"Good morning." Alec smiled and sat up.
Magnus pushed himself up as well.
There was a banging from the door downstairs.
Magnus had been staying at Alec's house for a couple of days now, and everything had been going great.
"I'll get it," Alec climbed out of bed and walked downstairs, opening the door. Jace and Clary were there.
"Oh, aren't you up early?" Alec asked.
"You clearly just woke up," Jace grinned, waking inside with Clary.
Magnus came downstairs then, looking over. "Morning, Jace and Clary." Magnus said, standing next to Alec.
"Good morning, Magnus." Jace smiled, nodding.
"Good to see you," Clary stated.
"So, Alec. What are you two?" Jace asked. Alec rolled his eyes, looking up at Magnus.
"Well, Magnus is my boyfriend." Alec said happily, nodding. He smiled and rested his head against Magnus's chest, Magnus's arm around his waist.
"About time," Jace laughed a bit, taking a seat at the kitchen table.
"Jace went on and on about you two." Clary laughed a little, taking a seat next to Jace.
"What do you mean?" Magnus asked, pulling orange juice out from the fridge an pouring a cup.
"He knew that you two had something. He was waiting for you to admit it." Clary nodded a little.
Alec laid down on the couch, shrugging.
"How'd it happen?" Jace asked.
Alec started to explain.
Flashback -
Alec and Magnus were at the lake a few days back. It was sunset, and they were on the boat.
Magnus knew Alec liked that first date, so he decided to ask him out on the lake. Ask him the big question.
They were talking, and then Magnus grabbed Alec's hands.
"So. I have a question."
Alec nodded a little, looking up at him. "What is it, Magnus?"
"I wanted to know if, you wanted to like, you know-"
"Spit it out."
Magnus exhaled. "Alexander Lightwood, will you do the honors of being my boyfriend?"
Alec smiled widely all of a sudden, laughing quietly, "me? Your boyfriend?"
Alec was a blushing mess.
Magnus nodded, grinning.
Alec nodded, "of course." Alec leaned in, kissing Magnus deeply, cupping his face. Magnus kissed back,
fingers tangled in Alec's hair.
"Aw. That's very romantic," Clary nodded. Magnus sipped the orange juice, taking a seat on the couch with Alec. "I love you," Magnus said to Alec, smiling. Alec sat up, next to him. "I love you too."
Jace checked his phone then, after getting a message alert.
"Simon wants to come over, is that okay?"
Jace asked. Alec nodded, "yeah, it's cool."
Simon was one of Clary's friends. Magnus and Alec met Simon a week ago.
The doorbell rung then. Alec got up and walked over to the door, opening it to Simon. "Oh, hey, Alec." He smiled. Alec returned the smile and stepped aside, allowing Simon in. He closed the door behind him.
"Wow, you got a party going on?" Simon laughed. "My house seems to be very popular," Alec shrugged, shrugging.
Simon took a seat at the kitchen table as well. "I say we all go out today." Jace stated. Magnus got up off the couch and walked over to everyone else. "I agree. Where, though?"
"Maybe shopping?" Alec suggested.
"Yes!" Clary grinned, hitting her hand against the table. Jace looked over at her, smiling and shaking his head. "Girls get very excited over shopping."
"Well, so does Alec." Clary nodded.
Alec rolled his eyes, "true, actually."
They all went out later that afternoon. Clary had bought many clothes, Alec bought a lot of clothes as well, and the rest of the group was paying for them.
Alec walked next to Magnus, Clary, Simon, and Jace behind them. It was the afternoon now.
"Hey. We're going to stop in here, Alec. You go check up on our lunch reservations?" Magnus asked. Alec nodded a little, pecking Magnus's lips. "See you later."
Simon, Jace, Clary, and Magnus walked in to a store.
Alec was looking around for the restaurant. Then, he finally found it. He went to cross the street.
It was suddenly a flash. Then, black.
People were yelling, and a car skidding away was heard.
Alec laid in the middle of the street.
Magnus rushed over to the closed off street, after coming out of the store a few minutes later. Clary, Jace, and Simon followed.
"ALEC!"
He knelt down next to him, but police officers were trying to pull him back as ambulances showed up.
