"Alec. Alec. Alec. Alec. Alec."
Jace was nagging from the hospital room. He was in a chair right next to the hospital bed. Alec was trying to ignore him. He rolled on his side and pulled a pillow over his head. "Alec. Alec. Alec. Alec. Alec." Jace and Alec just had this kind of friendship. Alec muttered words under his breath as he sat up and tossed the pillow at Jace's face. Jace scoffed and knocked the pillow aside. "Well good afternoon to you too." Jace nodded. Alec rolled his eyes,
sitting up now. "Why'd you come here, to get on my nerves?"
"To see my best friend in the hospital. Well, then to get on your nerves." Jace smiled, nodding. Alec nodded, "yep. I was expecting that." Jace shrugged, relaxing in the chair. "How much longer you've got in here?" The blonde asked. Alec looked around, "maybe a week? I'm not sure."
Jace looked over at him. "A week? Wow. How hard did you get hit?"
"Pretty hard, I'm guessing." Alec nodded. Jace's phone went off, and he checked it. "It's Clary. She wants to meet up. Sorry, bro." Jace stood up.
Alec watched him, "bros don't blow each other off," he said, smiling. Jace shook his head, "they do for their girls." Jace walked to the door, leaving the room, closing the door behind him.
Alec laid back down. Well, he grabbed his pillow back first.

Over the course of the next few days, it was really boring in the hospital. Luckily, Alec wasn't being let out. Magnus was there to pick him up. The two left the hospital together late at night. "Magnus, can we talk about something?" Alec asked, as they drove down the street. "Is it a breakup?" Magnus asked bluntly. Alec shook his head, "no, no, no." Magnus nodded, "then yes, we may talk."
Alec rolled his eyes. "Okay. Well, the car. When it hit me. It just didn't seem like an accident."
Finally, Magnus gave Alec a glance. "What are you saying, Alec?"
"I'm saying that whoever hit me, intentionally meant it."
"Alexander, we can't prove that." Magnus shook his head. "I know we can't. But I have a feeling. I was clearly in the middle of the street. How could they miss me? Besides, I'm like, 6'4."
Magnus nodded, "you are quite tall."
Alec swatted his arm, "not the point!"
"Why are you always hitting me?" Magnus smirked. "Because you always give me a reason to." Alec nodded. "Alright then. I'll take it." Magnus looked at the road again.
"So, Alexander, you're saying that someone intentionally hit you with their car?"
Alec nodded. "That is my case, yes." The two boys laughed quietly. "We'll do investigating and DNA samples," Magnus joked. "Good enough for me." Alec nodded.
"I don't believe you, though, in all seriousness." Magnus suddenly said. Alec blinked and looked at him. "What?"
Magnus nodded. "I don't think anyone meant to hit you. If you're referring to what happened with Sebastian, he's gone, he's leaving us alone-"
"Sebastian was, and is crazy. We know he doesn't like me, and he hasn't his whole life. And if it wasn't him, I still think someone hit me on purpose."
"You're an idiot." Magnus said quietly. Alec looked shocked. "Oh, so I'm an idiot now?"
Magnus nodded. "Yes. You think too much in to things. You're a worrier. That's what ended you up in the hospital."
Alec looked annoyed now. "That's what ended me up with you." He muttered.
Magnus stopped the car, looking over at Alec. "What did you just say?"
Alec nodded, "you heard me. I think too much. I'm a worrier. All those traits probably just ended me up falling in love with you. I felt like I needed the support after losing a job, I never really loved you. That's what it would be if those traits were true, right?"
"Get out of my car, Alec." Magnus nodded. "I'm not walking home. You're crazy. I just got out of the hospital, half my bones are broke-"
"Get out of my car, Alec!"
Alec didn't say anything else. He nodded a little and climbed out of the car, grabbing crutches. "One more thing," Alec said through the rolled down window.
He hit the roof of Magnus's car with his crutch. "Fuck you!" Alec yelled.
Magnus quickly drove off before he did anything out of his annoyance that he would regret.
Alec ended up having to walk home.
He got home after about a half hour of trying to walk with he crutches. Now he was fighting with Magnus.

Alec walked in to the kitchen and grabbed a water.
When he turned, someone was standing there. Out of instinct, he whacked whoever it was over the head with his crutch. Hearing someone cry out in pain, it appeared to be Jace, holding the side of his head. "What the hell was that for?!"
Alec looked shocked, setting his crutch down. "I am so sorry, Jace,"
Clary came from the back room, and over. "What happened to your head, Jace?"
"Alec over here became Ninja Lightwood."
"I said I'm sorry," he nodded. "How'd you two get in my house?"
Jace pointed to the open window they came through. Alec nodded, "just, say no more."
"Where's Magnus?" Clary asked as she walked over to the kitchen table, taking a seat.
Alec hated to think about it. "We're fighting."
Jace laughed, "what? Why?"
Clary looked concerned, though.
"I told him that I felt as if the person who hit me with the car meant to do it."
"You think someone purposely hit you?" Clary asked. Jace took a seat at the table as well, Alec deciding to join them. "After everything that happened with Sebastian, I don't see why the thought is impossible." Jace stated. Alec nodded, "exactly! And Magnus freaked out when I brought it up. He kicked me out of his car."
"Woah, you walked?" Jace asked.
Alec nodded.
"Your boyfriend kicked you out of the car and made you walk home with crutches?" Clary asked, amazed.
Alec nodded again. "Yep. He's boyfriend of the year." He muttered and sipped his water.
