Alec couldn't get last night off his mind. He was quiet at the rest of dinner, trying to act like something wasn't bugging him. Alec wanted to know the truth. Sebastian was insane, he could be lying. But for some reason, Alec trusted what Sebastian said.
Should he trust his boyfriend who he loves, or his enemy? The sad fact is, Alec didn't know the answer to that.
Alec laid back on his bed and sighed, grabbing his phone off off the drawer next to his bed. He pressed Magnus's contact, calling him.
A few rings, and there was an answer.

"Yea, babe?" Alec heard Magnus ask.
"Can you come over?"
"Of course.. Is something wrong?"
"No. Well-no. Nothing is wrong."
"Alexander, don't lie to me."
Alec sighed. "Just come over, Magnus. Please."
He heard a pause. Then, Magnus's voice.
"Okay. I'll be there in a few minutes."
Alec nodded and hung up. He was nervous to ask Magnus. What if it wasn't true and he sounded like an idiot? Alec didn't know.

Alec heard the door from downstairs, after probably like, eight minutes. He pushed himself out of bed and hurried downstairs, walking up to the door, opening it.
"Magnus, hey-"
He was cut off when Magnus's lips pressed to his own. Alec kissed back for a few seconds, Magnus kissing him forcefully. He nudged them both inside and kicked the door shut behind them, kicking the door shut behind him and Alec. It was hard for Alec to pull away, but he had to ask Magnus the question. "Magnus-" Alec pulled away finally after a few tries, Magnus frowning. "So something /is/ wrong." Magnus said quietly, unwrapping his arms from Alec. Alec shook his head, "no, it's not like that. It's just- okay. Come with me."'
Alec brought a curious Magnus over to the couch, taking a seat with him.
Alec held his hand, thumb rubbing Magnus's knuckles as he looked at him. "Sebastian, um.. He found me yesterday, and-"
Magnus's eyes widened. "What?! When? Why didn't you tell me? That's something you have to tell me!"
"I didn't want to ruin the night. So I'm telling you now."
Alec thought - if what Sebastian said wasn't true, why did Magnus feel so threatened by that boy? He would feel threatened if Sebastian knew things.

Maybe Sebastian did.

Alec still needed confirmation.

"Okay. Look. He told me.. Something." Alec rolled the sleeve of his black t-shirt up, revealing the black marking.
Magnus suddenly looked terrified. He looked sick to his stomach. Alec noticed.
"Magnus," he murmured, squeezing his boyfriend's hand. "Is it true?"
Magnus was frozen for a few moments. He just blinked then, looking down. "I'm.. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I didn't want you in any trouble, and-"
Alec suddenly kissed Magnus, which Magnus was shocked about. Alec was stubborn, why wasn't he mad?

"Shut up, Magnus. It's okay. It's just- what does this mark mean? Does Isabelle have one?"
Alec asked, curious. Magnus nodded a little, "it's a long story. The mark is a rune."

Rune. That sounded familiar to something Sebastian mentioned.

"A rune.." Alec repeated, nodding a little. "What does it mean?"
Magnus sighed a little. "It's.. It holds a power. There are many of them. You make them on your own." Magnus explained. Alec tilted his head a little, "what? I would remember drawing this.. This is crazy. Magnus, you know you can't lie to me-"
"Alexander, you have to trust me." Magnus whispered, cupping Alec's face, locking eyes with him. "I wouldn't lie to you."
Alec breathed out, nodding a bit. "Okay. Okay, keep going."
Magnus nodded a bit. "Okay. The only people who can do this, though.. They are called Shadowhunters. They are people, just like you, who fight demons."
Alec laughed slightly. "Fight demons? Yeah. Okay." Magnus actually looked a little hurt, but he understood how Alec wouldn't believe him. Magnus just had to keep explaining.
"You don't remember because.. Well, we were childhood friends. My parents became a threat. I became a threat. I had to flee. I couldn't have you put in danger. I had to erase your memory." Magnus nodded a little.
Alec shook his head slightly, "my parents. They would be this, too?"
"Yes," Magnus nodded.
"But they aren't.." Alec started, only getting a look from Magnus.
"They've been lying to me?" Alec questioned.
"To keep you safe, Alexander."
"Why couldn't I just know?"
"Too dangerous. It's hard to understand, but it's very dangerous." Magnus nodded a little. Alec gripped Magnus's hand. "You're saying I'm a demon hunter? And I didn't even know about it? Does Isabelle know?"
Magnus shook his head.
"We'll explain to her later."

Clary and Jace walked out of an alleyway together, holding hands and smiling, but seemed to be covered in what looked like blood, but it wasn't. The black markings were visible on their arms. Jace was holding this long glowing blade.
"That was a good one," Clary nodded.
Jace shrugged a bit, smirking, "I know."
Clary scoffed and nudged Jace, only getting a nudge back.

Isabelle was at Simon's, up in his room. She was straddling his waist in bed, kissing him roughly. Simon's glasses laid aside on the floor, the bed sheets a mess.
"You're a good kisser," Simon mumbled against her lips.
"I've been told." Isabelle smirked a little. Simon scoffed and pulled away, "oh yeah, by who?"
Isabelle rolled his eyes an grabbed his shirt's collar, "shut up and kiss me," she pulled him back toward her, lips colliding again.
Simon immediately melted in to the kiss again.

They were interrupted once more by something else. A phone going off. Isabelle and Simon pulled away, turning their attention toward Isabelle's phone on the floor. Alec texted her.
'Come over. Now.'

Isabelle just sat there on the couch in shock, holding hands with Simon.
"You're a.. I'm a.. What?"
Isabelle looked at Magnus like he was crazy.
Alec sat on the couch next to her, shrugging a little.
"Apparently it's true." Alec murmured to her.
Isabelle lifted her sleeve a little, revealing a rune on her shoulder. "That's what this is?"
Isabelle questioned.
Magnus nodded a bit,
"Yep."
Isabelle sighed, leaning against Simon. "This is insane." She said, nodding.

Clary and Jace suddenly walked in. Alec looked over at them, shocked. "You guys look like a wreck! What happened?"
Jace gave Magnus a look, expecting one back, but Magnus just half smiled.
"Wait, they know?" Clary asked, confused.
Jace looked over at Isabelle and Alec, and then Magnus again.
Magnus nodded a little, "I had to tell them. Alec had a run in with Sebastian."
Jace closed the door, taking a seat on the couch with Clary. "Sebastian?" Clary asked.
Magnus nodded.
"Wait, wait. You're ones too?" Alec questioned.
Jace nodded, shrugging, "that's right."
Alec looked shocked. "You're my best friend! For years! How could you not tell me?!"
Jace kept a straight and calm expression. "For the same reason Magnus didn't."

Everyone went silent.
Alec broke it. "So what does that make you?" He asked Magnus.
Magnus's eyes suddenly flashed yellow.
"Warlock." He muttered, looking down suddenly.
