Chapter 18

Alixa's POV
"You should hold her now. She obviously wants her daddy."

"Oh? You do? You want daddy? Okay. Come here."

He took his shirt off then put her on his chest. I pulled my hospital gown up. I kissed his right cheek then put my head on his shoulder.

He started talking to her about random things. It was pretty adorable actually. She just stared at him.

"She's not happy. Look at that little face. Do something to make her happy."

He kissed her forehead then started humming a mellow song.

Skylar's POV
I heard Alixa yawn.

"Oh? Am I making you fall asleep too, my love?"

She nodded.

"Okay. Close your eyes and get some rest then. You've earned it."

I kissed her then she slowly closed her eyes. Once she was completely sleeping, I slowly and carefully stood up. I walked up to the window and moved a curtain out of the way.

I saw it was nighttime. The stars and moon were shining bright.

"See those? Those are the stars and moon. They're beautiful right? Me and your mommy love them."

I had to feed Rosaria after a few minutes. Alixa woke up.

"Rose? Bolt?"

"Hey baby. She's okay. She was just hungry."

I walked up to Alixa and showed her that, our little girl was just eating.

"Go back to sleep, mi amor. She's safe with her daddy. Right? Daddy's got you. Mommy's gonna go back to sleep for as long as she wants."

Alixa smiled.

"Thank you. You're absolutely amazing. You're already...an amazing daddy."

"And you're already...an amazing mommy. You're so fucking strong. You carried our daughter for 9 months. For 38 weeks. Your little body, did that. I love you so fucking much. Thank you."

"For what?"

"Giving me a daughter. I absolutely love you and her. I love you two with all of my heart. I mean it. You're two of the best things, that's ever happened to me. I can't wait to marry you."

Alixa smiled.

"I love you too. I love you with all my heart. You don't need to thank me."

Alixa cupped my right cheek and started stroking my cheek with her thumb.

"I'll gladly do it again my love. Please wake me if you or her... need anything from me."

"Okay. I will. Goodnight darling. I'll see you in the morning."

"What time is it?"

"It's 2:12. Amor, she's now an hour old."

Alixa smiled.

"Wow. I gave birth, only an hour ago?"

"Yes. Get sleep. I love you."

"I love you too."

She looked at Rosaria.

"Mommy loves you too. Mommy loves you very much."

I kissed Alixa's forehead. She closed her eyes and went back to sleep. I laid down on the couch. I put my little princess, on my chest.

She started pulling my necklace. I chuckled.

"I'll buy you, your own once, you're older. Okay?"

Rosaria smiled. My heart fucking melted.

MY LITTLE GIRL IS FUCKING ADORABLE!

"Let's text your uncle and nonna now."

I texted River then texted my mom. River rushed into Alixa's hospital bed 15 minutes after, visiting hours started.

Me and Alixa both chuckled.

"Excited much?"

"Hey! Don't judge me! This is my first niece!"

"Relax."

"We're only messing with you. Right? Me and daddy were only messing around with your Uncle Rivy. Come here."

River walked up to us.

"Would you like to hold her?"

"Yes. I-I would love to."

He sat down at the bottom of Alixa's hospital bed. I showed him how to hold Rosaria. I placed her in his arms. He immediately started smiling.

"She's so precious. Holy shit."
