Skylar's POV I was actually the first one awake for once. I just stared at the ceiling.
What the fuck...
Has been happening lately?
I've never fucking done shit to them.
I was stuck in my head for a while.
"Baby?"
I turned my head so I could look at Alixa.
"Hey. Feel any better?"
"I don't know dude."
"You're probably mentally exhausted."
"Probably..."
"It's gonna be okay. You're not alone in this. Okay?"
"Mama? I hungie."
"Okay. I'm coming."
I didn't move. I just watched Alixa and Rosaria walk away.
"Dadda?"
"Dadda's okay. He's just having some trouble waking up. Let's go make you some breakfast."
I forced myself out of bed and forced myself to get dressed.
I forced myself to push through the entire school day. I asked Alixa to drive home. I was slowly falling asleep. We got home and I dragged myself up to my bedroom.
Alixa's POV I went to check on Skylar after a few hours. I found the boy completely passed out.

He started feeling better 2 weeks later. Everything was starting to process for him. We all started to remember the layout of the house too.
Rosaria was still getting lost but she found it funny after a while. She started seeing it as a little game. Her little giggles echoed throughout the house.
Skylar walked up to me.
"Which direction?"
I pointed to the right.
"Check your office."
He rolled his eyes.
"I'm gonna have to get a baby gate for that room."
"Let's face it, you're not gonna get one."
"Yeah. Yeah. You're probably right."
"Have fun."
"Can I get some help?"
"Nope. I'm almost done with this book."

"I'm due in 2 weeks also. Natalia is staying right where she is for 2 more weeks. Have fun!"

He mumbled something and started walking away.
"I'll find you when it's time for dinner."
He put his right middle finger up.

I put my head back down and went back to reading. I heard little footsteps. Rosaria ran past me. I heard Skylar's footsteps.
"Hey! Get back here!"
He started running past me.
"You need to take a damn bath! Hey! Slow down! Rosaria Stella Grier! Get back here! I don't wanna put you in timeout!"
She kept giggling.
"Rosaria! At least slow down! You're gonna fall!"
She accidentally backed herself in a corner.
"I got ya now!"
He scooped her up and they both started laughing.

He started tickling her.
"Time for your bath. You've managed to avoid me all day."
She crossed her arms.
"What? Don't you like baths? You get to play with your water toys."
"Is someone cranky?"
"Oh? You're cranky? That explains it. Bath time then someone is taking a nap."
Rosaria yawned.
"Ah ha! So you ARE a cranky little girl!"
Skylar started walking away.
"Bye sweetie. Be good for dadda."
She started babbling.
"Okay. Okay. I'm going as fast as I can."
She babbled something again.
"Now you're being sassy? I see how this is gonna go."
