Chapter 35

                                  Skylar's POV
I felt someone tap my shoulder. I picked my head up and turned around. I saw that the police canine was sitting behind my desk and in front of the one behind me.

"Can the both of you come with me?"

"Yeah. Okay."

"Um why?"

"My dog has indicated that she's found something. I need the both of you to grab your things and follow me."

"Okay. No problem."

"I don't have anything on me."

"It sure as hell isn't me with something on them. I'm not walking out in cuffs."

I quickly packed my things up then stood up. The girl sitting at the desk behind me crossed her arms. The police officer used his radio to ask for a female officer.

The police canine wasn't looking at me. It kept looking at the girl behind me. The female officer came and the girl behind me stood up.

"Let's go. You go with her and you come with me."

The girl scoffed. I was brought into an office.

"What's your name?"

"Skylar Grier."

"Do you have anything on you that'll hurt me, stick me, or stab me?"

"No."

He has his dog walk around me again. She didn't indicate anything. She didn't find anything on me or my things.

"Thank you for cooperating with me."

"You're welcome. I know, I shouldn't give you guys a hard time."

"You're free to go. You might be searched again later."

"Okay. No problem."

I looked down and saw his dog smiling at me. I smiled.

"Can I pet her really quickly?"

The police officer nodded. I put my hand out and let his dog come to me. I started gently petting her head.

"Good girl."

I left the office and started walking back to my class. The girl that was sitting behind me was with the female police officer still. She was in handcuffs and her head was down.

The first bell rang and all of the first classes of the day ended. Everyone started walking out of the classrooms when the regular morning announcements were made.

River and Pedro walked up to me.

"Yo have you guys gotta searched yet?"

"I did. I'm clean. Obviously. I might get checked again towards the end of the day. The cop and his dog were pretty chill. I got to pet his dog."

"Damn. Really?"

"Yeah. Someone already got caught."

"Oh shit! Who?"

"You're not gonna believe me."

"Who?"

"Kendall Skitz."

"Bert's sister?!"

"Yep."

"Oh shit!"

"Wouldn't be surprised if her big brother's be next."

River and Pedro chuckled. We got to our second class of the day then walked into the classroom. We walked to our normal seats then sat down.

There wasn't an assignment on the whiteboard so I decided to check on the girls. Everything was fine. The second bell rang and I put my phone in my bag.

This lesson fucking sucks.

We're gonna have to watch the movie version of this shit too?

Oh fuck me...

I'll definitely fall asleep during that.

Especially if I don't get enough sleep.
