Long have I listened to the stories told by my father from his father's father to his great friend who lived at that time.

The time when the High Elves, the humans, and the beastmen, along with the dragons, lived in harmony atop a huge, colossal Titan whose might tower over the skies itself, overlooking this endless ocean that filled our world.

Answers to what happened then, what happened to the High Elves and why did so many of them lose their lives? A question I myself pondered and wondered if it could ever be answered.
It's time that tell that the answer would lie on the shoulders of a young boy.

This boy had a great destiny ahead of him. He was unaware of his abilities at the age of 19. He could use an echo blade without having the energy zap him senseless, although he still used the basic kinds that only lasted a few swings before they dissipated back into dehydrated crystals. He still worked to help people in Dragon Rise Village without knowing his full potential. He simply made me a prouder father by the day.

Mason stepped on his salvaging boat equipped with an elemental wind fan that would push the boat across the water in whatever direction independent of the wind.

He was a tall slim lad with faded blue eyes, cyan curly hair, and sported a nice, short, but well-kept goatee.

He wore a pair of glasses that were rimmed and well taken care of, a padded leather shirt with buttons up to his collar, and leather-worn gauntlets and sported some blue leather leg wraps.

Leaning back while the boat steered toward his destination, he felt a slight thud.

Getting up from his relaxed position with his feet hung up, he looked over to the side of the boat to find his friend Lexus, the tiny long-eared echo mutant deer, in the water. Rolling his eyes, he pulled him out of the water.
Lexus had blue antlers that got a little tall sometimes to where he would fall over from their weight due to having a very tiny body and soft silky white fur with faded gray dots. He wore a leather cap with goggles dyed deep sea blue. He wore a leather vest with a zip-up and wore gloves on his humanoid-like hands and fingers.

Going a bit off the reef, they headed straight towards an old sunken-down ruin that was within eyesight of the village, but only just barely.

Mason got up and pointed at the ruin while Lexus rolled his eyes.

"What are we doing here anyway? Mason! You know Dad told us not to come here. Out of all the ruins around the whole stinking island, you choose the one that's the most dangerous!"

Mason rolled his eyes. "Come now, where's your sense of adventure? I'm only going in for a little bit. I was going alone, to begin with, but you insisted on coming along so this ship isn't turning around until I'm satisfied with what I find in the ruin no one's been in centuries!"
Docking at the island, Lexus hopped up on Mason's right shoulder.
