Mason and co walked onwards through, according to the map Mason recorded of the known world with his echo device, was the Tall Tail Plains.

The grass was tall, making Rift's knees itchy and kept getting Lexus lost in the tall grass.

Altair was eyeing this glass urn that Lexus said he had with him when he met him yesterday night.

Inside was a purple-like gel stuff.

Keeping to ourselves, we kept a watch out for wildlife that might attack us.

A huge bird flew overhead along with a few gigantic bees that thankfully kept to themselves.

"Man, I've only seen that in books," I said.

Altair smiled. "If you think that's nuts, you should see gigantic spiders."

"Rift wonder what they taste like."

Lexus, who rode on my shoulder, shuttered.
"I hate spiders so huge pass."

Just then we heard a sloshing noise.

We stopped and looked around.

Just then a droplet landed beside me. It was pink.

Rift sniffed. "Slime!"

Just out of nowhere, a humongous pink slime dropped out of the air almost squishing us. Based on its size it was almost the size of my house.

I gave it a quick slash, although it only left a cut that was quickly filled in.

"Cutting it won't do it. We have to hit it with an elemental attack!" Altair shouted.

Rift started to drum his chest, building up energy and causing a wavelength of blue energy to surround him. He took a deep breath, inhaled and then exhaled, blasting a huge wave of wind at the slime, pushing it back and tearing off some of its body.

Lexus charged my spear I summoned with wind.

Dashing at the slime, I gave a sideward stab, shooting a blast of wind into the slime from a distance, cutting it clear in two.

It started to try to stick back together but it started to fall apart flinging pink slime everywhere.

It came at me like a wave, knocking me over.

Altair grabbed Lexus and jumped behind Rift, using him as a shield.

He got completely covered.

Shaking off the slime like a dog, he took some off his ear and popped it into his mouth before spitting it out.

"Sadly, it does not taste like strawberry, but very gooey."

I was slightly disgusted. I was covered from head to toe.

Walking over to the center of the slime remains, I saw something rare.

"An echo blade crystal!"
I picked it up. It was yellow, meaning it was in a dormant state, thus making it impossible to bond it now."

It was rare to find them. Most people hunted for them to sell them from fallen monsters.

It had deep lines of energy pulsing through it, meaning that it couldn't be forged from me or anyone for a bit. I put it away in my pocket and turned to Rift and Altair.

"Let's go find a pool or river to clean ourselves off. With some slimes, goo can be venomous or cause rashes to the skin." I said using knowledge from a book growing up at the top of my head.

Walking a bit downward toward a clearing where the grass was shorter, we spotted a pool ahead with glimmering crystals poking out of the riverbed, almost reaching the surface.
