Arriving in the town it was rather full of people and very packed, despite it being late afternoon.

The ones were decorated with stone and all sorts of symbols painted across the walls.

There were lots of market stands getting set up while some others were already open.

"Try meaty peppers here!" One man said

"Try Sweet Berry buns, freshly baked at the local bakery!" A woman called

Mason had money, sure, but not a lot.

Rift walked around sniffing his nose.

Ava copied him even though she wasn't an animal.

"Rift hunger."

"Me too," Altair added.

"How much money do we all got anyway?" Mason said

"200," Altair said.

"30," Lexus said.

"Rift have 1000."

Everyone froze.

"Since when have you had that kind of money?" Altair said

"Rift is a strong man who always helps those who need muscle."

He looked around, constantly scanning the area for anyone who needed assistance.

He spotted a grumpy looking elf teen guy with red hair.

"Rift go demonstrate. Come!"

Everyone followed.

Approaching the stand with the teen elf dude...

"Yes?"

"Rift ask if young man troubled."

The teen sighed.

"I only got these to sell today. I have other fruit but my provider slash merchant has a terrible sense of direction and these normally sell great in the big cities but I can't get them to sell here."

"Why's that?" asked Mason, eyeing the humongous watermelons on sale.

"These are geode melons. They grow fine in rocky soil. They're really tasty but they cannot be opened with any ordinary hammer. I have to have an obsidian one and it's bloody expensive."

Rift picked one up.

"Oh, are you buying?"

"No, Rift helping."

He took a step back and cracked his knuckles.

"Rrah ha hrmm...haaaa!"

He lifted his head up high before head-butting straight into the hard-shelled watermelon. Expecting a head injury, everyone looked away for a brief second, only to find that the melon had snapped open.

He lifted his head up, revealing no injury.

"Mommas taught Rift to use head in situation where things are rough, so he use head."

The fawn was in awe of Rift.

Hold on, he had him breaking open every melon in his cart and stand with his head.

"I'm trying to think of a joke, but I can't think of one," Lexus said.

"Talk about a double header," Ava joked.

Everyone other than Rift looked at her.

"What, come on? It was funny!"

The elf payed Rift a good sum of 2000 and said he insisted, even though Rift didn't want an amount that high.
