INT. KING'S PALACE – ARTHUR'S CHAMBERS – NIGHT
Arthur dined on soup.
"Inbringe, cume mec," Merlin said and the spell floated the keys off of Arthur's belt.
"Is there any bread?" Arthur asked.
The keys jangled as Merlin floated them behind Arthur's head as he turned.
"What was that?" Arthur questioned.
"What?" Merlin wondered.
"There was a sound."
"Was there?"
Merlin continued floating the keys behind Arthur's head as he stood up to search for the sound.
"What is that? Can't you hear it?!"
"I can't hear anything."
"Are you deaf? It's like a... jangling sound." He walked towards Merlin.
"There!" Merlin exclaimed, pointing behind Arthur.
"What?"
"I thought she and I saw something."
Arthur moved to where Merlin pointed. Merlin dropped the keys into the soup.
"What was that?"
"What was what?"
"A different sound, like a... like a splash."
Merlin picked up some bread from the table. "Bread?"
Arthur left, checking his hearing on the way out. Merlin grabbed the keys from the soup.
INT. KING'S PALACE – MORGANA'S CHAMBERS
Morgana dressed in Gwen's clothes and said, "It'll have to do." She sighed. "I feel I've put you in danger without ever stopping to ask how you feel about it. I'm sorry."
"I know how it feels to face the threat of execution," Gwen said. "And I wouldn't wish that on anyone."
A knocking sounded.
"It's Merlin," Merlin stated.
Gwen went to open the door.
Morgana went to Mordred and said, "We're going to get you out of Camelot. I won't let anything bad happen to you. I promise."
"Are you ready?" Merlin asked.
Morgana nodded. "Did you get the keys?"
"Yeah," Merlin answered. "Er, the door is behind the shield at the far end of the armoury."
"Elli and I'll pack you some food and water for the journey," Gwen told them. "Be careful."
INT. KING'S PALACE – NIGHT
Guards marched through the Griffin Landing as Morgana peeked over the edge of the curved stairs and descended with Mordred. A serving girl saw them sneaking off through the corridor at the bottom of the Spiral Stairway. They snuck out through the door behind the shield in the armoury.
INT. GWEN'S HOUSE – NIGHT
Gwen and Eliora prepared some travel supplies as the former said, "I hope they're okay. Morgana really cares about the boy. I've never seen her this way with anyone."
"I'm sure she just wants to protect him," Merlin reasoned.
"Hmm."
INT. KING'S PALACE – ARMOURY – NIGHT
Arthur and Anne walked through the armoury with a guard.
"A servant saw someone entering," the guard informed. "They had a boy with them."
