No Matter What.. Part 12
I walk into my favorite teachers room and see her at her computer typing away. She hears me come in and looks up to smile at me. I smile back and drop my bag before walking over to the piano and having a seat. Ms. MacCoulskey goes back to her work while I go through the keys and try to find the right note. Ms. Mac is the chorus teacher in the school and is almost everyone's favorite. She very short with strawberry blonde hair, isn't perfectly skinny but she's not like super over weight, is always smiling, rosy pink cheeks, and just has the warm motherly feeling to her. She acts like a mother to me and I honestly love her as if she was.
"Listen carefully for the key, you've already hit it a few times" she says with her high pitched soft voice with a slight northern accent, knowing perfectly well what song I'm going to play
I listen more carefully and eventually find it and start playing the parts of 'Silent Night' that I remember. It's the only song I know how to play by myself. Well I used to know but I've somewhat forgotten. I don't really know how to play the piano but I want to learn, I only know this song because I memorized the different keys. Ms. Mac comes over when I get stuck on one part and plays the part to show me the keys. I look up and smile at her in thanks then continue playing.
"Sorry it's the mother in me" she says moving my hair away from my neck to fix the collar on my blue plaid button up shirt
She plays with my hair until a I finish the song then pats my back and sits down on the bench next to me and helps me replay the parts I struggled with. After awhile I sit back and let her play while I just watch.
"When are you going to be giving me those piano lessons?"
"Well you know how busy I am with all this stuff" she says and stops playing
"Ya ya ya I know.." I say with a sigh "Well the least you could do is come to my game today" I say with a smile
"Tabb?" she asks
"Mmhmmm. You know I'm going to send those Tigers crying all the way back home to mommy" I say with a playful sneer making us both laugh
"You know I'll be there"
"Great" I say smiling broadly "Well I have to go meet a few of the girls to grab a bite to eat then a couple of the JV girls wanted me to help give them some pointers and such" I say as we both stand up
"Aw look at you being so nice" she says reaching up to pinch my cheek
"Don't get too used to it" say laughing before leaning down and giving her a hug "I'll catch you later momma" I say letting go and walking back over to pick up my bag
"Bye sweetheart" she says as I walk out the door
I head back to the main section of the school and see Abagail talking to the blonde boy again. I frown and glare at him before looking away and quickly walking past them, acting as if they didn't exist to me. When I make it outside I see Natalie and Liz leaning against the hood of my car and Cameron laying on it as they all talk.
"Well gorgeous girls hanging all over my car, I can't say I hate the sight" I say with a wink as I walk up and earn a roll of the eyes from Natalie and a playful push from Liz
"Well of course Jenna, it's all for you" Cameron says striking what she would call a seductive pose
I laugh and walk towards the drivers door and knock her feet my car on the way, making her fall off the car and into the dirt on her butt. She mumbles a string of profanities as me and the girls laugh at her. After helping her up we throw our stuff in the trunk and get in to find someplace to eat. We decide on 'Tropical Smoothie' so we can get something pretty healthy and quick in us before we have to get back to the school.
