No Matter What.. Part 2
"Yes, yes I remember what to get" I say to Katharine in the phone
"Even the-"
"Yes, wrote everything down. Get off my back, I got it" I say hanging up.
Sighing I run my fingers through my hair and grab my keys, walking out the door. I get in my car and start driving to the grocery store. You see we're having a party so I gotta pick up sodas and chips and stuff while the others set up then when I finish here then I have to get the beer and such from the liquor store. Walking inside I look down at the list as I walk past the cashiers. I pick up everything I need and start putting them on the conveyor belt thing as I look over the list again and marking things off.
"So big pa-" I don't hear the rest as I space out from that familiar voice
I look up to see the gorgeous Abagail. I grin at her only to have her chuckle and blush slightly then to see her lips moving again. I collect my thoughts and finally tune back in.
"I'm sorry what?"
"So big party huh?" she asks again laughing
"Ya kinda.." I nervously rub the back of my neck and take a deep breath "So umm...when do you get off?"
"In about half an hour, why?" she asks
"I was wondering if you wanted to come, I mean you'd have enough time to get ready and stuff. It won't start for about an hour and a half.." I say my voice trailing off as I realize I'm starting to ramble
"Umm big parties aren't really my thing.."
"Come on please...for me beautiful?.."
"Well...alright, I guess it'll be fun" she says smiling
"Wow great" I say lighting up. I decide to test the waters a bit because I'm pretty sure she's gay. My gaydar hasn't failed me yet "If you want to bring your boyfriend..or girlfriend...you can bring them with you"
"Oh no, no, I'm not seeing anyone" she says blushing
"Hmm alright then"
"Is your boyfriend going to be there?" she asks nonchalantly
"Boyfriend?" I repeat with a raised eyebrow
"Ya..that guy you were with at the game..." she says kinda hesitantly
"Ohhh, you misunderstand, I don't have a boyfriend. I'm much too pretty for Carter" I say with a chuckle
"Ok well, $217.43" she says with huge smile and chuckle
"Damn..." I say shaking my head that they're making me buy so much junk as I hand her some money
"And your change is-"
"Keep the change Abagail" I say with a smile. Taking the receipt I write my number down on it and give it to her "Text me when you get off for the address" I say putting the bags in my cart and flashing her one last charming smile before walking out
Abagail texts me as I'm just about to start heading to Carter's house from the liquor store. Smiling I text her his address and start heading there. I pull into the driveway and honk my horn for them to come out. I pop the trunk and get out of the car stretching and being scooped up into Carter's arms.
"Carter you ass!" I yell pounding on his back "Put me down you're going to mess up my shirt and I have a date!!"
"Ohh a date huh? You're ditching me already??" he says with fake hurt as he sets me down
