Ch.17 I like how you think

Lucy Pov

When I woke up, Rogue called me through the communication lacrima to tell me that Violet was back in her room sleeping. Well that's one thing less to fix. I sighed and flopped down on my bed. There was nothing really to do but wait for the last few days of Chaos to come.

I thought of how life used to be before Shera the stupid deal, Before Violet, Before Natsu kicked me off his team, Before Lisanna came, Before everything came crashing down and ruining my life. I wanted my old life back. I wish time could just reverse itself.

Wait... Time Reversal... This triggered a very vague memory. I got my celestial keys and opened Crux's gate.

"Hi Crux, long time no see! Can you tell me about time reversal?" I asked

Crux immediately went to sleep and then a few minutes later, his eyes flew open and then yelled, "I got it!"

I jumped at the sudden outburst but then turned my attention to Crux.

"There is a spell that allows the caster to reverse time or/ and clear all problems that the caster specifies. I believe it's the same spell Ultear used. However, You can't learn the spell by reading off somewhere but you will know it when it's time when you use it. There is also a catch-"

Crux started to choke a bit and then there was a burst of light.

"No! WAIT CRUX WHAT IS THE CATCH?" I screamed, but it was too late because crux was nowhere to be seen.

I tried opening his gate again but nothing happened. I sighed for the millionth time but no avail. What could be the catch? I absentmindedly started to walk around my room and look at all of my possessions.

Something caught my eyes after a while. It was a picture of Violet bad I at the GMGS. I then frowned also realising that that was also when Shera showed up.  I decided to head to the library to find out more about Tine Reversal instead of moping around.

I walked around the deeper part of the library where no one was but all of the good books were. I let my hand run over the rows of books and then one caught my eye. It was a relatively new looking book but when I opened it, the pages were crumbled and yellow. There was a strange whooshing as I opened the book, probably just a breeze. I slowly read the old book and turned the pages very delicately.

The book was a story; about a girl who was all alone in the world but one day found a new home to be part of. One day though, after being betrayed; a weird creature befriended her. However the girl had to sacrifice herself to save her new family from the weird creature that was actually an evil force.

I read for a couple hours and then I realised that it was getting late yet, and I didn't finish the book yet. I decided to borrow the book and take it home to read. I had a strange feeling that I was going to do an all-nighter reading this book.

I wonder what Violet is doing...

Violet Pov

I sat at a booth poking my ice cream with a spoon and Sting, Rogue, and Raina all looking at my worriedly.

"Uh... Vi? You ok little sis?" Raina asked

"Why wouldn't I be?" I answered bluntly

"You're not eating your coffee ice cream."

"Who really likes coffee ice cream anyways?" I said as I sighed

Rogue, Sting, and Raina gasped and looked at me with horrified faces. I just looked back blankly and went back to poking my half melted ice cream. I was wondering how Lucy was. I don't know why I keep running away; it's officially a bad habit.

I also was worried and couldn't sleep at night. I just know that Shera was going to do something to Lucy but Lucy made a deal with her and it scared me... a lot

"Ok that's it." Snapped Raina "I can't bear to see you like this so we are going out."

My eyes widened, "no no no no... I don't wanna"

"Oh yes we are going right now!" smirked Raina

I knew that I wouldn't be able to get out of this situation so I reluctantly agreed and told Raina to wait as I changed into something more suitable then an oversized tee shirt and shorts with my hair all over the place. I decided on a my attack on Titan sweater with black jeans.

"Fine, let's just get this over with." I grumbled as Raina dragged me out of SaberTooth as Sting and Rogue waved.

"Where are we going?" I asked after Raina let go of me and we started to walk.

"I was going to meet up with some old friends and one of my friends has a little brother just a year older than you so that would make him 16 and because you are 15 which makes me 22 just like Rogue who is seven years older than you!" smiled Raina

"Wow your math and confusing people skills are REALLY impressive" I said sarcastically as Raina laughed.

Soon we got to Raina's friend's house and they greeted each other than Raina introduced me to her friend.

"Violet, this is my friend Lisa, Lisa this is my little sister Violet!"

I forced a smile and shook Lisa's hand.

"Hey! Nice to meet you, I'm Lisa. Oh and that's right I almost forgot! I have a little brother... LUKAS GET OVER HERE!!!" hollered Lisa.

All of a sudden a boy with blonde hair swept to the side and deep blue eyes came into the room. I could feel myself getting a little more self conscious about my looks.

"Violet, this is my bro Lukas."

I tried to speak but no words would come out so I just put my hand out and Lukas took it and shook it.

"Hey, I'm Lukas"

"H-Hi... I'm Violet..."

While Raina and Lisa were busy talking I saw Lukas mouth

'Lets ditch this place'

I smiled genuinely for the first time in what felt like forever.
