Startled at first but quickly Zoe pulled away "No, No what the hell Steve" snapped Zoe. Steve's face looked down at her confused "Zoe what's the matter?" Steve asked clearly confused. Bucky came up to Steve between him and Zoe looking him straight in the eyes "What do you think you're doing Rogers?" asked Bucky gruffly and his eyes narrowed. Steve stepped closer "I am greeting my girlfriend BARNES" answered Steve. Zoe moved around Bucky and pressed a finger into Steve's chest "Ex-girlfriend Rogers remember you dumped me when your old flame came back" snapped Zoe.
Steve shook his head "I didn't mean it Sugar I was brainwashed" he said. Zoe slapped him "DON'T EVER call me Sugar again especially when that was that fucking nickname for Her that bitch." she yelled. Steve in almost desperate attempt to keep her close grabbed her hand making Zoe wince, Bucky punched him right in the jaw knocking Steve to the ground. "You freaking bastard never touch her like that again" he screamed. Then he quickly pulled Zoe into his arms taking her wrist to look at it. "Are you alright Angel?" Bucky asked then he kissed her.  Zoe pulled away and she looks up to him and nodded "I am fine Bucky" she replied brushing her fingers along his cheek. Bucky just pressed his forehead against hers and sighed.

Steve got up his face full a fury "What the hell is going on here?" yelled Steve trying to get to Bucky and Zoe. But Thor held him back "Rogers calm down" said Thor firmly while trying to keep Steve at bay. Steve who now was red in the face "Really calm down when my best friend and girlfriend are all over each other right now in front of me" yelled Steve trying with all his power to get past Thor.

Zoe looked over to Thor and Steve narrowed her eyes "I am not your girlfriend anymore Rogers that ended the moment you were with Carter and hell we never should have started in the first place" snapped Zoe. A flash a pain showed in Steve's eyes and he shook his head. "No, we can't be over I was brainwashed by Peggy I love you so much" Steve said reached for her. Bucky growled and pulling Zoe closer to him she looked up at him and smiled. Steve finally got past Thor and pushed Bucky get in between him and Zoe "Why do you always get the girl, why couldn't you just let me have Zoe, you don't deserve her... you murder her father... and so many others" he yelled as he took a swing at Bucky. But Bucky dodged the punch and grabbed Steve "I did try to give her up... I know that I don't deserve her but Steve I can't help it from the moment I saw her there was this pull like my soul was in pain and darkness for so long and her light and soul brought me peace.." said Bucky as he held his friend in place.

"I am not going to fight you Steve" said Bucky letting Steve go. Steve just grinned "Fine I will be taking my girl back and you can go to hell where you belong" said Steve as he reached for Zoe. She pulled back from him "I AM NOT YOUR GIRL" snapped Zoe. Steve frowned "Zoe please believe me I love you Peggy controlled me I didn't want to be with her... being with her made me soo sick" Steve was crying tears rolling down his face. Zoe shook her head "I have read your mind she controlled you so easily because you wanted it you want to be with her anyway you could" she snapped. "I was just someone to warm your bed and just an easy fuck and how many times did you picture her when we're together" Zoe asked calmly with a raised eyebrow.

Steve shook his head "Never Zoe she placed those thoughts they were false memories but she did have a hold on me" he said his voice was pleading. Bucky just rolled his eyes "Really we are supposed to to believe that Rogers" snapped Bucky as he narrowed his eyes. Steve shook his head "I am telling you the truth she placed those in my head knowing it would destroy my relationship with Zoe. And she always had some weird hold over me and I always felt like a part of was missing till a few days ago..." said Steve closing his eyes. Zoe tilted her head Steve seemed different almost lighter.  Steve stepped forward towards them "I was in a cell and this glowing blue string came floating into the cell and pulled at my heart, Another blue string come out of my heart or chest but the two connected...."said Steve. Zoe just shook her head  "Steve are you telling me that Peggy had a part of your soul" said Zoe feeling like a someone had punched her in the heart. Steve nodded and took a few steps towards her. Bucky growled and stepped in front of Zoe.

"Back up Rogers" he snapped pushing Steve back, Bucky and Steve were face to face neither backing down. Bucky turned to Nat "Take Zoe inside please Nat while I deal with something" he said frowning. Nat went to move forward but Zoe held up her hand. "No need to Nat I am not going anywhere" said Zoe firmly as she stared at the two men who looked liked they wanted to rip each other apart. Zoe walked over to Bucky grabbing his hands and he gripped tightly "Angel please..." he whispered. Zoe just shook her head "Bucky let's listen to him I think he's telling the truth he is your best friend" replied Zoe. Bucky sighed and just closed his eyes. Bucky pressed a kiss to her forehead "Okay Angel let's listen" he responded softly.

Steve frowned at the gesture but said nothing for a moment "It goes back to the 40's when I first meet Peggy at first she just ignored me like most women and then after the serum she finally really noticed me and that's when she became so mesmerizing" said Steve sadly. Bucky nodded "Yeah it was like no matter what I  or Thea said you just wouldn't listen like she had some hold over you" Bucky said as he shook his head. Steve looked up at the clear blue sky and closed his eyes for a moment. He looked back at everyone who was watching him carefully. "I truly thought she loved me but what happened I didn't even remember until a few days ago, she came to me the night before Bucky's accident and we had sex for the first time but in the middle of the act. Her eyes turn black and she started to sing I felt myself getting weaker like I was before but and a blue string was coming from me. She got some of it before a bright purple and silver light came in the room and started to choke her. I remember her freaking out and the blue string went back inside me and then everything went black." Steve wincing at the memory.  Bucky and Zoe just gasped and looked at each other before Zoe moved to Steve, she held her hand out to him "Can I read your mind Steve ?" asked Zoe in a tender tone. Steve nodded "Please, Zoe" he pleaded.

Zoe placed her hands on the side of Steve's head and images flashed through Zoe mind. Of Steve and Bucky growing up together and Bucky always having Steve's back their bond was strong it was like their souls were connected somehow beyond the bonds of friendship. Then flashes of Steve going through process of the serum and learning of Bucky's disappearance and just feeling lost and then finding him a by a purple light guiding him to Bucky Then it was dark as Peggy kept speaking and the pull he felt to her but something held him back. Peggy taking a piece of his soul but not all of because he was tied to something else. The purple light surrounded in silver blocked her hold overwhelming her and choking her.

Him trying to get Bucky but not being able to get to him in time watching him fall. The lost of Bucky almost splintering his soul in half. The kiss with Peggy making him forget everything and renewed the hold. Waking up to the new world and feeling so lost and lonely. The earthquake and walking to the compound feeling a pull and seeing Zoe in the hospital bed. Her just glowing and him felling peace but at the same time pained. Their first interactions and anger and hate consumed him when thoughts of Peggy came to mind. But also wanting to be near her, him falling in love with her. Each touch each kiss was real and deep, then the thoughts of Peggy creeping in setting in doubts. Torn between the two Zoe and Peggy, one light and one dark ripping his soul in two different directions.

Peggy coming back and darkness consuming him taking control of him. Him fighting the darkness and the chaos. Then the light and peace suddenly surrounding him and the part that had been lost was returned and him being whole once more. Waiting for his other halves Zoe and Buck. Together they would be complete, together they would be whole. Zoe was the light and the love, Bucky the sacrifice and hope and Steve the loyalty and peace. Zoe suddenly stepped back eyes wide and heart racing. They were all meant to be together soulmates. The bit frost lighted up the sky one more time out stepped Athena, Aphrodite and Atropos all smiling. Athena stepped forward "Owlet you know now why you were torn between the two but now you don't have to because you were all meant to be together" said Athena. Bucky stood there in shock as he looked at both Zoe and Steve. Tony interrupt, everyone's quiet thoughts "Are you telling me that my little sister going to be in a Stucky sandwich" he said with a shutter.
