November 3rd, the day of the wedding, the day that was going to change the lives of two people drastically and for eternity. They didn't love each other, they didn't even see each other romantically. Yet, they were getting married.

A loveless marriage is something that no one would ever want. But who knows it could be the perfect arrangement for two people who did not trust the idea of love? Though, the answer to this question is one that no one can predict.

And the ones who were marrying did not want to predict...

"Mom!" Haejin called for her mother to gain her attention as she exited the dressing room in her wedding gown.

A simple, sober and elegant gown of lace having a round neck and sleeves till her wrists. The fabric hugged Haejin's body till her knees before flaring down. A silver belt on her thin waist along with matching silver heels completed her wedding outfit.

"You look so pretty, my baby!" Haejin's mother exclaimed gleefully, her tear glands instantly secreting tears as she hugged her daughter.

Haejin hugged her mother back, appreciating the warm embrace of her mother for as long as she could before her mother went away to bring Haejin's veil.

"Here..." Haejin's mother helped her in setting the veil in her hair before she was ready to walk out for the ceremony.

"I can't believe the day has come..." Haejin's mother wept a little, causing Haejin to tear up a bit too.

Haejin had been experiencing all sorts of emotions since the night before, but couldn't find the correct way to express and let go of the emotions. So, seeing her mother cry made her cry too, the pent up emotions flowing out of her mind and body in the form of tears.

"Me neither..." Haejin murmured, tightening her hold around her mother's torso, as if this would be the last time she would hug her. This wasn't the last time but she definitely would get to hug her mother less than she normally did, now that she'll be moving out.

"Miss Lee, we need you outside." A female voice called for Haejin's mother, causing the mother and daughter to end their loving hug. And for the first time, Haejin felt so empty after hugging her mother. Something uneased her to the point that unknowingly, a tear fell from the corner of her eye.

"Haejin..." She wiped her tears to turn back towards the door, where she heard the voice from. She recognised the voice, it was Hyunjin.

"You look really beautiful..." Hyunjin complimented the girl with a genuine smile plastering on his face. He felt guilty because he was not able to help his best friend when she needed him the most, so he made sure that she knew that she still has him.

"Thank you, Hyune..." Haejin smiled but the smile couldn't reach her eyes. Hyunjin noticed that and without a word, hugged her close. Haejin broke down in his arms, her body trembling. No tear slid down her eyes but her body shivered, her heart thumped erracticaly and her eyes shut themselves, as if it would stop her from seeing everything and everyone related to this marriage, as if it would help her escape the unavoidable reality...

"Believe me, if I could do anything... I would already have, Haejin... I'm so sorry." Hyunjin whispered, enough for Haejin to hear.

And Haejin's body shook even more when she realised that Hyunjin cared for her more than her own mother...

"I'm still here, and I'll always be. Please come to me if anything happens... I'll make sure that I'm always available for you." Hyunjin broke the hug and looked Haejin straight in her eyes while speaking to her, to let her know that he meant every word that he had just spoken.
