The ceremony had finally come to an end, the only people left at the venue being the immediate family of the bride and the groom, who also were preparing to leave for their homes after such a hectic and eventful day. Organising and hosting a marriage wasn't an easy task, and the preparations being done within a week surely made things difficult today. So, what everyone needed was a good night sleep in the cozy atmosphere of their homes.

But everything was different for Haejin. While everyone other than her were going to their own homes, she now had to go to a different home, Minho's home. Not only would she have to adjust to the new title that had been given to her... Minho's wife, but also she had to now spend probably all her life in a new home, in a completely new surrounding. And she had to spend it in the same area with a man.

The man being Minho had reduced the amount of worries Haejin originally had but, she still had to accommodate herself into the new lifestyle she had practically been forced into, and she definitely wasn't looking forward to it.

"My child, I can't believe the day has already come... I can't believe I'm really seeing you off..." Haejin's mother spoke up first, tears gradually forming in her eyes as if she finally was realising the reality of this whole situation. All sorts of worries which might've come in her mind now or then were now being released in the form of warm tears that trickled down her cheeks.

But on the other side, Haejin herself back from crying. She didn't want to make the surroundings heavier than they already were. And so, with a bright smile, she wiped her mother's tears and hugged her. Hugs were her way of reassuring people and she figured that what her mother needed was reassurance.

"Oh mom, it's not like you're seeing me off forever." Haejin laughed, and she felt her mother's body turning stiff at the words. Her mother then broke the hug and hit her head.

"Why would you say something like that?" Her mother scolded and the two laughed.

"Minho, I don't want to burden you... Haejin can really be a handful at times... as I've told you... but I hope you can take care of her." Haejin's mother spoke to Minho as she turned towards him.

Minho just smiled warmly, bowing his head politely in response to Haejin's mother's words. Even if he had felt burdened by the words, in no scenario did he want to let anyone know about it. After all, it all had happened because of him.

"She's in good hands, Miss Lee. You don't have to worry." Minho spoke up, and, he sounded genuine.

Haejin's heart sped up at the words, as if her mind and heart has absorbed the reality of Minho's words. She definitely wasn't ready to see Minho as her husband, let alone burden him with her problems...

But she remained quiet, what could she even have spoken?

"Dear Haejin..." A female voice brought Haejin out of the turmoil in her mind and she turned towards Minho's mother, who supposedly wanted to say things about her beloved son.

"Welcome to the family, dear..." Minho's mother spoke, her tone sounding warmer than ever.

Haejin smiled at the words, a smile being all she could manage to form on her lips to stop her lips from trembling at the harsh reality.

"Our Minho... He's a nice person, but he keeps things to himself. I hope you can make him feel comfortable enough so that he can share his worries with you..." Minho's mother spoke, and would it have been any outsider listening these words, they would've believed these words.

But both Minho and Haejin knew that these words were nothing but fake concerns, a mask to hide their cruel and greedy selves that had let them to plan their son's marriage without his approval.
