Two cups of instant noodles were already kept prepared on the kitchen counter when Haejin came out of her room after Minho had insisted on having dinner. Minho was seated on one of the stools, Haejin instantly taking the other stool beside him and seating herself.
She dived straight into the cup of instant noodles, now feeling extremely hungry after acknowledging the fact that she had starved herself for eight whole hours. Even though ramen is just instant food, it's her comfort food and somehow having it after a long and a definitely eventful day made it taste even better.
The atmosphere was silent, both Minho and Haejin focusing on eating, not speaking a word and just trying to get used to each other's presence. Even as friends, they needed time to adjust. They had been apart for too long, and needed enough time to accept the fact that they no longer were just friends, but married. No matter how much both of them tried to escape the burden of marriage even when they were alone, somewhere subconsciously both of them knew that now or later they had to fulfil their roles in this marriage.
"Oh, by the way-", Haejin spoke turning to face Minho. "What's the WiFi password?"
Minho didn't respond for a whole minute, making Haejin repeat herself.
"It's-" he said.
"Yeah?" she waited.
"Ilovesooniedoongiedori143" Minho spoke in such a rush, and it took Haejin quite a few seconds to decipher what just came out of his mouth, and when she understood...
"What?"She laughed and laughed and laughed. The password was ridiculously funny, who thought a grown ass man could have such a password for WiFi.
"Hey, don't laugh. It's not that funny!" Minho said glaring in her direction, face red from embarrassment. He never thought he'd have to share his WiFi password with someone someday but things turned out to be different from what he originally had in mind.
"It definitely is funny..." Haejin said still laughing, "..but I appreciate your love for your cats." She said giving him a thumbs up, continuing to eat her noodles.
"You're not allowed to tease me." Minho said while furrowing his brows, narrowing his eyes towards her direction.
"Why? I see no harm in that.", Haejin replied struggling, continuing to eat her noodles, earning a groan from Minho.
Minho sighed, not ready to acc
"By the way, tomorrow there's a get-together at my house and we'll have to go.", Minho said, being reminded of the text his mother sent him. The text said, "There's a dinner tomorrow and all the CEOs of big companies will be there to bless you and Haejin. Come by 6, no excuses. Wear the same colour to appear so as to appear full of love in the public eye. Also, media will be there." He reminisced the message in his mind and wondered how not even a single day has passed since they both got married and they'll already have to start the act of being lovey-dovey.
"Get-together?", Haejin looked up to him with a confused look. "Why?", she continued.
"Yeah, basically to introduce us to the media and to the CEOs of other big companies in Korea, so that they can bless us.", Minho said, emphasising the word bless as if people would actually bless them. He thought how it was ridiculous that not only in business, but the influential companies in Korea compete in everything and yes, they would compete in choosing the best bride for their heirs. He was already sceptical about Haejin being judged.
"Oh...", Haejin replied short, very unwelcoming of the thought of media as it might make her life extra-hectic in college. She had no thought of revealing anything about her marriage to her college-mates but guess nothing worked in her favour.
