8 - ☆: the benefit.

While Jungwon kept reading each of the books that were being arranged on the rack beside him out of boredom, he didn't realize that Yerim slowly opened up her eyes. Yerim sight is still a bit blurry when she looks around and sees someone sitting beside her. Her throat feels thirsty but she can't talk to call him loudly because of that.

Her hand slowly reaches his wrist to call him, Jungwon is surprised when he feels someone touching his hand, and he quickly puts aside the book. "Yerim.." he suddenly stuttered as he looked at his wrist that was being held by Yerim, a sudden touch from that girl made him nervous.

"I'm thirsty."

Said Yerim in a really low voice but still could be heard by Jungwon, she couldn't believe that the person looking after her was Jungwon out of everyone. 'Maybe he's kind, but he doesn't know how to express his expression properly.' thinking her.

Jungwon gets up to inform the nurse that Yerim already woke up but the nurse currently not there at the moment, so only both of them are in that nursing room right now. He sighed and then took a cup of water prepared in the room for Yerim.

He goes back to Yerim's bed and gives that cup of water to her. She looks at him who gives the water casually without looking at her, she has to wake up from lying down position because she understands how he doesn't want to help her to drink. Though her body is still weak she forces herself to wake up.

Jungwon seeing her struggle to wake up from her lying position suddenly helped her and he also put the cup closer to Yerim mouth so she could drink easily. His hand touching Yerim's back to support her body, makes her can't even focus on drinking because both of them are too close right now.

"Drink properly, please."

Said him in a serious tone when the water kept coming out from her mouth and dropped from her chin. 'How am I supposed to drink properly?! I can smell your cologne because of being too close.' said Yerim in her mind.

As soon as Yerim was done drinking, Jungwon put away the cup and both of them were literally in an awkward situation. Jungwon was thinking if he should leave her alone here or wait for the nurse to come to check Yerim up. Yerim also didn't know what should she do, either she should tell Jungwon to leave or just let him be.

Yerim then was too lazy to think about it so she decided to just lie down until the nurse came. She doesn't care if Jungwon wants to stay or not, he looks at Yerim that lying down but turns her back to him.

Now it's up to him to make a decision, he doesn't want to seem to care about her but if he left, he might look like someone that selfish. Indeed he is a bit.

"I'll stay here until the nurse comes."

Yerim just kept herself quiet after he told her that. 'Is she asleep?' thinking him.

"Okay."

Replied her suddenly. Jungwon was a bit disappointed in how simple she replied to him. Then what should she say? He did not even like her. Yerim wants to have some conversation with Jungwon but when she remembers how he always embarrassed her in front of everyone, oh that hurt her so much.

"Next time during sports time, eat your breakfast and drink a lot of water."

Remind him, 'Why would he care?' said Yerim in her mind as all this time he didn't care about her at all. "I would," replied her simply. Actually, that's a lot she wants to say, such as, "If I drink water and being late going to the sports area, you'll be mad and embarrass me again in front of everyone." this is actually what she wants to say.

After that the atmosphere becomes quiet and awkward again, none of them want to talk. Yerim heartbeat increased as only both of them were there at the moment, her mind kept remembering when Jungwon helped her drink just now. She really wants to make Jungwon as her friend so she doesn't have much problem in this school.

Yerim suddenly wakes up from the lying position and looks straight into Jungwon's face, though she is scared but it must be done. "Jungwon," called her. As always he gave her a cold stare and waited for what Yerim wanted to say.

"Be my friend?"

Yerim smiled while giving her a hand to shake but Jungwon only kept staring into her eyes, it's embarrassing because it was clearly he didn't want to be her friend.

"What's the benefit?"

Asked him while hugging himself and leaning his back on the chair. 'Benefit? What do you mean?' thinking her. "I don't know. Anything you want?" Yerim stuttered as she had no idea of what she said.

"Anything I want? Okay, you said it."

He smirked as he thought of something, Jungwon didn't shake Yerim hand so she pulled back her hand, she was confused if he agreed to be her friend or not because he only asked about the benefit which is she didn't get it.
