10 - ☆: something missing.

A month after month passed, Yerim no longer 'disturbed' and approached Jungwon. All of her classmates also focusing on themselves as midterm is getting closer, Yerim already informed the teacher that she wants to change her club as she already quit the Taekwondo club.

But for now, the teacher is giving Yerim a chance to pick her club properly, so now Yerim doesn't have any activities after school hours. She basically just goes straight home to study for the midterm.

How's Jungwon doing? He was just fine, nothing bothered him after what Yerim said to him. Well, that's what he wants. No longer Yerim bothering and messing up his mind. Though, Yerim's not disturbing him that much actually.

"Minji, are you free after this? Let's go to the café?" asked Yerim as she getting fed up studying every time she's home. "I'm sorry Yerim, but I have a club session after this. Then, I'll go straight home to study," replied her while in an exhausted state.

Yerim feels bad for asking that, Minji must be really tired right now. "It's okay, I get it you're tired. Don't be hard on yourself, okay?" Yerim gives a pat on Minji's shoulder as she gets back doing her work. Yerim looks around at her classmates, they all seem tired too.

It is just a midterm, not a final exam yet. But they already struggle like this. Suddenly, Jungwon shows up to get into the class, he probably coming back from the library. The library has limited seats for students. But for students like Jungwon, he don't have to worry because the teacher already secured a seat special for him.

He's living full of privilege, just how lucky he is. No words can describe how Yerim envies him. Their eyes meet as Jungwon walks to his table, but this time Yerim is the first one to turn around her head to break the eye contact. She determined not to have any contact with him.

However, it's awkward that they sit next to each other, for Yerim, if she can change her seat. She would have already done that but that was the only empty seat for her.

[ Jungwon's pov ]

"Ugh, why do all of a sudden I feel like something empty? Like something is missing."

Said him in his mind. The pen keeps spinning with his fingers, he can't even focus on studying in the library. All this time he never felt like this and he was just fine studying alone and doing everything by himself.

No matter how much he forces himself to solve the questions in his book, his mind keeps running back to the moment of Yerim gets upset with him.

'Am I being too harsh?'

Thought him. Even though he feels guilty, he never ever tries to reach out to apologize for his behavior.

Jungwon thought by ignoring her, nothing would happen but in fact, the one actually suffering more is himself. "Jungwon? Are you okay? Is there any question you don't understand?" asked the teacher as he saw Jungwon losing his focus. "Oh, nothing sir. I think I should study in my class, to get some air," said him.

Jungwon decided to study in the classroom when the library was a better place to study than there, he's also didn't know why he doing this. As he arrives, his eyes accidentally meet Yerim eyes. All this time she has been avoided it while they both together in the class. But the eyes contact didn't take longer as Yerim broke it right away.

Jungwon tries to continue his studying, but he's distracted by Yerim who sits beside him. She opened up the window a bit, to let the wind enter, while throwing a sight outside of the window.

"I'm wondering what is running in her mind right now, her brown hair is so pretty and silky. I wish I could run my finger through each of your hair just like how the wind running through your hair now."

"And your eyes too, I never knew that your eyes were addicted to me, I want to keep looking at it no matter what emotions you show me."

Can't believe this was said in Jungwon's mind, he even ignored his mathematic questions in his book just to be mesmerized by how pretty Yerim was at the moment. Is the reason he feels empty just now because Yerim no longer was there to disturb him? Or did he just start to like Yerim?

p/s‼️: the library is mostly only for smart students, a mid students like yerim, sometimes is hard to get the chance to study in the library.
