38 - ☆: the truth.

Jungwon let go of Rachel's hand as soon as they were in the area where there was no one there. He sighed in annoyance to see Rachel's face that suddenly showed up in front of him. She also shows up right during he is about to tell his feelings towards Yerim.

That even makes him question why during this time out of all this time when Yerim hasn't shown up in his life yet.

"Now tell me why are you here?"

Jungwon didn't even give her a single look because he couldn't stand to see into it. There's nothing he feels towards her anymore, as everything is just left as memories that are embedded deep inside him.

"My school is on break, I just decided to visit South Korea."

"Then, why are you coming here? This school is not the place of holiday list."

Rachel sighed when she knew Jungwon still couldn't get over it, she admitted it was her fault for just leaving without telling him anything. But she had to do that because her father didn't like seeing her always hang out with Jungwon.

"Actually, I'm coming here to see you. I want to apologize about it."

"I don't need it."

"You need, Jungwon. It seems like you still hold a grudge towards me. You can be mad at me all you want, but please forgive me."

"For what?! Am I joking to you?"

Jungwon raises his voice as his eyes show angry emotions. But he tried to hold back because he didn't want anyone to hear him.

"I'm really sorry for leaving you behind without notice, but I'm here not to ruin your life. I see the girl with you just now, it's obvious that you're in love with her."

"The reason I come here is because I miss those friendships, I miss our friendship. You're a good friend to me."

"I hope you can find someone who matches with you, whoever it is I'll support both of you from afar."

Rachel suddenly hugged Jungwon because she would leave for LA again tomorrow, Yerim that hiding near that to watch them in shock as she saw those. She broke into pieces when she saw Jungwon also hug her back while crying on her shoulder.

"They.. look good together."

Muttered Yerim as she misunderstood the situation, now that it's giving even more reason why she should step away from Jungwon. As her feeling already goes deeper, if she doesn't move on from now, later she will fall behind deeper as Jungwon leaves her.

"Guys! Have you seen Rachel? She becomes even more beautiful!"

The news about Rachel coming to the school spread out among students. They go crazy about it when they see her in front of them. While Yerim keeps herself quiet in the class, sits quietly while throwing a sight out of the window.

She was about to cry at the moment when her mind kept bringing back to when she saw Rachel and Jungwon hugging. Her ears keep listening to her classmates bragging about Rachel, saying she's pretty and all.

"Look! Rachel is here."

Because of zoning out in her sadness, she didn't realize that Rachel come to her class. Everyone crowded around Rachel and asked her a lot of questions. She suddenly saw Yerim sitting at her seat before, she recognized Yerim's face, the one with Jungwon before.

"It's you, right?"

Rachel suddenly walks towards her table and stands in front of her. Yerim just comes to the senses in confusion when she sees Rachel standing in front of her while smiling.

"Huh?"

"Can I talk with you for a moment?"

Asked her, Yerim couldn't just reject it, especially in front of her classmates. As everyone was impressed by her, if she was rude to Rachel, that only made her receive hate from everyone.

They walked away from everyone and sat at the bench nearby where no one was there, Yerim in awkward as she didn't know her at all. She only knows Rachel from people's point of view.

"Can I know your name?"

Asked Rachel to start a conversation with Yerim, she would love to know more about Yerim. The girl who succeeds makes Jungwon fall into.

"Yerim, Moon Yerim."

"Pretty name, Yerim."

"Thank you."

"Yerim, there's something I want to tell you."

Rachel takes a deep breath before she goes to tell her real intention, she suddenly holds Yerim hand as she smiles at Yerim. Now that she is confused about Rachel, she seems a nice girl to her. By looking into her with her ability, there's no negative vibe in her towards Yerim.

"You're such a lucky girl, Yerim. Jungwon never loved any girl before. You're the first girl he loves. I hoped you could take care of him the way he cares for you."

"What do you mean? Don't you guys love each other?"

Asked Yerim with her misunderstood, Rachel laughed when she heard that. She's glad that she meets Yerim, or else Yerim wouldn't know the truth about the relationship between her and Jungwon.

"Yerim, me and Jungwon didn't love each other. I'm just a friend to him and I just thinking him as a friend too. There's no such thing as love between us."

"But you guys are too close until everyone thinks that you guys dating."

"And none of us ever confirm we did, right? He's mad at me because I just leave him without telling anything. We've been friends with each other for too long already, my sudden loss of course would make him disappointed."

"And everyone mistaken us as a couple, just because we are always together. I never had any feelings for him, and he also didn't."

"I'm sorry Yerim, if my sudden appearance makes you sad. But I swear I'm not trying to ruin your relationship with Jungwon."

"Just so you know, I have a boyfriend already. So, I'm wishing both of you happiness."

After listening to Rachel's explanation, now that everything's clear. Rachel is not Jungwon's first love, but his first love is actually Yerim herself without her knowing about that. She was relieved that she didn't have to worry about it now, turn out it was just a friendship about Jungwon's past memories. There's no such thing as his first love with Rachel like everyone says.
