He's almost dreading taking the thing off, but he knows he needs to show his face. You're dating now after all, you're the first person he ever became friends with. It was by chance of course, he happened to encounter you on one of his missions. He had saved your life from some criminal, well in his eyes anyways. You claimed it was fine, but he could tell you were rather nervous/scared during that time.

That's how he felt right now, in the end he's been the golden guard to you. Not Hunter. Perhaps upon dating you he got a little too caught up in this golden guard persona, because he didn't like the real him very much and didn't think it was possible for you to love the real him. He didn't think of himself as really all that attractive, and many teens gossiped about how cute he must be. He knows he will only disappoint you.

"Are you.. sure... about this..." Hunter asks slowly, and you quietly nod. "Only if you are." You say, giving him a little smile to reassure him. You aren't the most open and vulnerable person in the world, but breaking down Hunter's walls has proven to have been rather... difficult. Perhaps because he felt he didn't deserve to talk about his problems, or that he didn't have any when he clearly did. Perhaps he just didn't want to burden you, or that he was okay with dealing with things on his own.

You had grown to know Hunter a bit better, given you're one of the few people to know of his name, and to listen to his ramble about wild magic. You had promised him you wouldn't utter a word to anyone about it. He told you about his family, how he was a "half a witch" and had been open and vulnerable with you. He trusted you, and you never once betrayed that trust. He never wanted to admit it, but he trusted you more than Belos.

Deep down Hunter doesn't know what it's like to have a good, healthy relationship. You are the first person to treat him with kindness and it only confuses him. It feels undeserved, when you had first started dating he actually asked you why you were so kind to him. Wondering if you were so nice to him because he had saved you when you first met.

Regardless of it all though, Hunter nods slowly. He's scared, but he's ready.

He shuts his eyes tightly, as you examine his features. He's increasingly aware of how he looks, did he remember to moisturize his face? Of course he did. He's just being paranoid.

You're quiet, and while you always are, it scared him. It wasn't out of character for you to be silent, but he took it as a bad sign. "I know I'm.... Not exactly... what... you expected... b-but!"

"Cute." You say, interrupting him.

"W-wait.. what??!" He says opening his eyes wide.

"You're cute." You smile shyly, feeling your cheeks heat up a bit. "Your eyes are really pretty." you comment, and your boyfriend blushes a deep red. You can't help but smile at the fact, behind that golden guard mask he's a blushy dork.

"I didn't know you had a gap tooth." You comment, and he looks away for a moment, embarrassed. "Yeah.. I- uh- lost it because of .. well.. training.." he rubs the back of his neck, and you nod. "Well..."

You kiss the scar on his cheek, making his entire face go red, immediately. "I think it's cute!"
