The nurse came in with my chart. "Well we ran some tests and your oxygen levels seem to be fine. We're discharging you today. You will spend today and tomorrow on bed rest.We uh... called your girlfriend... she's going to be watching you." "No!" "I'm sorry. Did you want someone else?" "Emmett. Emmett Hardy, my brother." "Okay. I will pull up his information. " She scribbled something on my chart. " Joshua, you will be here for another week. We have to fuse your jaw back together. The "glue" has been going through a few test sessions to make sure it isn't poison. Then you can undergo the fusion surgery. After that  you will be on bedrest with a nurse and one person you're comfortable with. Harmony maybe. " Josh put a thumbs up. "I take it you agree about Harmony?" "Mm-hmmm." "Good." She scribbled something down on his chart. "can you open your mouth a little without pain?" "I can talk out the side of my mouth but it hurts like hell." "Mm-hmmm." She scribbled some more. "Alrighty, I will go and input Emmett's information and I will be back to give you your last shots. You'll get your charts from Dr. Gibson ad then you're free to go." She walked out of the room. "She's a peppy one ain't she? Ow! Shit that hurt!" "That's what you get Yappy. Shut the hell up. Jeez, the guy breaks your jaw and you still won't shut up." "Sorry." Another nurse came in with a needle and a cup of food. "After the injection, drink all of this." "That food is disgusting." Josh said out of the side of his mouth. "It is full of minerals that are present in the jaw bone marrow. This is slowly mending your jaw naturally so that when they do the surgery it will be a lot easier and much more likely to hold." "So eating...I mean drinking  that gunk is basically causing his jaw to fuse together naturally?" "Yes." "So why exactly does he need the surgery? Couldn't you just double or triple the number of smoothies you feed him each day?" "Well we could but then he'd be high all the time on too many vitamins.  This drink includes enough vitamins for the whole day, that's why he only rinks one a day." "Well I guess that's why you're a nurse and I'm an idiot who screwed another guys soul mate in a janitor's closet and now lies here with a broken nose because of it."  She chuckles. "Allison will be back to discharge you. " "Yeah." Just as that nurse left ,Allison, the first nurse, came back in. "Well you're all set Hardy. "Emmett is outside. You are not to leave his sight." She wiped my arm with an alcohol pad and stuck a needle in. "That's for the pain. You won't be needing anything else." I stand up. "Well I will see you later." She takes a slip of paper and hands it to me. "this is for you. The doctor is out because of some personal issues but you are scheduled to meet with Tony next week."  "Okay." "Now get outta here kid." "Don't have to tell me twice. Later Josh." He grunted.  I walk down the clean hallways and out the door. Emmett was standing by his Corvette. "Bout time little brother." "Hey Emmett." "This is gonna be a crazy few days.

Tony

"So, Tony we reviewed the test results and we decided that shock therapy is the only way you can be calmed down after being riled up." "Seriously?" I was suspended in mid-air between two chains connected to metal plates that buzzed with energy." "We are going to inject a genetically modified potion into you that will cause you to reach your full potential." "Okay." I felt the needle in my leg and suddenly my entire body felt hot and I burned with rage. "AAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!' I screamed. My body started to grow more muscular and suddenly I was taller and stronger. My teeth were bared and my eyes were silver. "What the hell is happening?", one of the scientists ask. " I think...he's an X-class...Shifter...Vampire...Werewolf...I don't know he could be anything." " What the hell is happening to me!?" "Send the shock!" I felt a series of shockwaves pulsate through me and I am powered down. "Son, we're gonna let you go but you're ...an X-Class." "say what now!?" "X-Class as in one of the highest monster classes known to exist." "Yes. That means you'll be moving into a dorm of your own. You will also be taking classes here with us.' "great but what about my body? It's still all buff and stuff." "Well that won't change. That's your "true form". Nice haircut too." They release the chains and I fall to the ground. I stand up. "Here look." I take the mirror. "DAMN!! I am one sexy drink of water." "You mean tall?" "I  meant what I said dumb ass."
