Harmony
Parker and I sat together in a hammock under a tree bundled in our winter clothes. "This is probably the weirdest place I have ever lain with a girl in the winter time." "Really?" "Yeah. So what's that amulet around your neck?" "Oh this? I've had this since I was a baby. It was my mother's I think." "You're not sure whether or not something belongs to your mother?" "Oh my god Parker, work with me here." "So on a serious note. You've heard the rumors about Greenshire attacking Glendale." "Yeah, I heard it was a hoax." "Nope. Totally true. They're being led by this secret force of students from the underground." "What?" "I just want you to be safe." "Why wouldn't I be safe?" "Harmony, I'm going to ask you a question and I need you to be completely honest with me." "Okay." "Are you a mortal?" "What? No way. Pssh...not me." "I always get a craving for blood around you and that only happens around mortals. Mutant blood doesn't attract us. Not to mention you never have to go to training classes." "Well, I was sent here just like everybody else." "So there must be a logical reason.Perhaps they're under the impression that you're a mutant." "Maybe. I just did what the letter told me to do." "Harmony, this is me you're talking to. Parker Hardy. I'm your friend and I'm a vampire. I can smell your lies from a mile away. You could've just been honest and said that you being here was a mistake but you live us some much that your mortal world has become boring and lame. It's okay we know we're cooler than you that's why we need a whole other realm to contain maximum awesomeness. " "Has anybody ever told you that you might just be a little bit full of yourself? " "Yeah Emmett does all the time but then again who cares what Emmett thinks." "Touché." "I won't tell anybody I swear." "Thank you." "But there has to be a reason for you to be sent a letter like that." "We need to ask somebody who knows about this sort of stuff.
Shadow
I was a witch but not a good witch at heart like Genevieve, I was evil to the core and there was absolutely nothing I could do about it so I decided that if I was gonna be bad, I'd be the baddest. I was an average level Q for a witch but I was dark, intimidating. Nobody dared walk in my path for fear of being hexed. I wasn't going to hex someone for walking near me or talking to me but I was so scary that nobody wanted to be around me. So in the rare occasion that someone said hello or asked me what my day was like I was filled with joy, something witches do not know much about. We mostly know about bitterness. But we can be exhilarated. Harmony Peters, the new girl in school had always been my favorite person so far. She walked to class with me and wasn't afraid to sit with me at lunch even though she'd rather sit with her friends. I appreciated her kindness and for that a good deed must be done in return. So when she approached me in my dorm for help with Parker Hardy at her side I was happy to help. "So Shadow what do we do?" "I know for a fact that you are NOT mortal." "Then how do you explain my sudden thirst for blood when she's around?" "She's still new to the realm and it will take about a year for her mortal traces of DNA to wear off but she definitely is NOT mortal. It is impossible for a mortal to pass through the barrier into our realm. A mortal, is someone with absolutely no trace of mutant blood. She must have something which explains her being here but seeing as she was raised as a mortal much longer than anyone here, it may take awhile for her to unlock her purpose. Parker, you and I have been here since we were toddlers."My eyes flashed metallic silver and my fortune teller half came through. "We grew up in a realm full of life and magic. Love and Hope. But I fearvit will soon be overtaken again my turmoil and destruction. The other realm. They are coming."
