Chapter Ten

I sat back in my recliner. I had a dorm room all to myself. Things got a little lonely. I started to think back what life was like before Glendale. A few people came to mind. Xavier, Natalie, and Leonardo. Why these names stuck out I didn't know. I was traumatized before leaving to Glendale and the medicine the hospital gave me caused me to have amnesia. I only remembered these three names from the Zen realm. Realms could coexist in the same country therefore here in the United States there were probably over 200 realms. My original realm was the Zen realm but then I was recruited to Glenadale which is in the Taurous realm. I couldn't recall exactly what I to be moved to Glendale and the Taurous realm but part of me felt that I was in danger. Reaching my true form. I was chosen. Suddenly I heard a knock on my door. I get up slowly and open the door. Parker stands in front of me bundled up. "We need to talk." I let him in and pour him some hot chocolate. " How'd you know where I was?" "Not important. But I know something. All of us do. My whole family knows that you're from a different realm." "What the..." "Calm down. Listen. You aren't the only one. There's another girl named Japan Eastscott." "Japan? What kind of name is that?" "A chosen person's name obviously." "Okay whatever. Where do we find her?" "She's meeting us for lunch tomorrow. " "What do you know about the Zen realm?" "I know a girl named Natalie Ivers. Her boyfriend Xavier Hart goes to this school. He's an X -Class too." "The professors said I was the only one." "They lied to protect him." Our folks know his folks and we're sort of kind of friends or cousins one of those. Anyway he's warning me." "Warning you for what?" "The 434, the revolution. They're coming." "Holbrook...Leonardo Holbrook. He's been disturbing the peace in the Zen realm for months now. He's Xavier's half brother. Jealousy is a bitch." "I think that saying only works with karma." "Wha-- fuck you brain!" "Are you mad?" "Stay focused!", Parker snaps on me. "Sorry." "Now I have to go. Just promise me you'll meet Japan and Xavier with me." "You've got my word." Parker stands up and let's himself out. I knew that these people were gonna have things to say that I might not like very much, but if I bailed....wait...I'm an X-Class. If I bailed no one would do anything at all.

ZEN REALM
Natalie

I wasn't really listening but my ears picked up what they wanted to. "We. Should. Stick. Together." "Right. Yes. We should totally do that." "Oh my god Natalie. Do you even know my name?" What was his name. Robert? Riley? "What are you talking about Milo? I know you're name." "No." "No? Whattya mean no?" "That's not my name. My name is Rashad. Not Milo. I don't even look lile a Milo." However we both have significant others in another realm. This partnership could be beneficial for Xavier and I." "Right." "So sit with Misty at lunch." "Can't I just sit by you?" Never mind...I'll sit with the bitches because clearly I have a vagina so I'm not allowed to sit at the nigga table." "What? That's not what I said!" "Don't yell at me!" "I'm not yelling!" The halls were silent. I'd gotten their attention now it was time. I burst into fake tears. As students pass the they shake their heads at Rashad. "Why are you crying? I'm sorry. " "I'm not sure this friendship is gonna work out." "Stop doing that. I'm sorry. You can sit at my table! Just stop crying.Please!" "This is bigger than the table Rashad." With that I make my exit. My cousin Carmen stood by my side. "Great acting kid." "Thanks." I wipe the left over tears from my cheeks. "That was fun." "I'm sure. So have they finished all the tests?" "Yes. As of yesterday, I am a G-Class." "That's amazing! I'm so proud of you!" She pulls me into a tight hug. "Well I have to make a call." "Okay see you later kid." She turn around and walks off with her boyfriend Kyle. I take a right towards the phone and dial the Glendale area code and Xavier's dorm number. He picks up right away. "Hey. Do you have the results?" "Yes!" "I am officially a GX-Class." "Yes! I could pick you up and twirl you around I would!" Just hearing Xavier's voice made me feel closer to him. I think this whole invasion thing is stupid. Why do we have to attack anybody?" I slide down the wall and sit on the floor. I smoothe my uniform skirt and pull up my socks. Xavier's deep soothing voice came through the receiver. "Listen baby, rival realms are hard to understand, yet alone explain. So I just need to be sure that you're gonna be strong through all this. "Okay." The line goes dead and suddenly I fee alone again. The lunch bell rings and I walk through the line and walk to Rashad's table. His friends look at me then at him. "Hi." "Hi." "Are you done being a bitch about things?" "Not a good time to be calling me a bitch Rashad." "I didn't say you were a bitch, I said you were being a bitch. There's a difference." "Really because I don't see the difference." "Alright, I don't even care no more. Sit where you want. Be a lone wolf or whatever the fuck you call that shit. I give no more fucks at this point." And you feel how real it is when he stick his real foot in your ass." I get up and storm out of the cafeteria. I pushed the doors so hard one fell off it's hinges. I balled up my fists and I could feel the electricity coarsing through my veins. Literally there were sparks flying from my fists. I punch a locker and it melts so I just drag my fists through the whole row, melting everything. When I pull my fists out of the last locker I examine what I'd done. "Oh shit." "Xavier, open the damn door." He opened up a few seconds later. "Hey." "So she has the results?" "Yes." "Great, so what was said?" "I actually can't tell you or anybody else. Her condition is classified. " "What the fuck do you mean it's classified?" "I mean it's a rare case that is still in the works." "Right so in other words, a waste of my fucking time."
