I wake up from the vibrations of my phone. I rub my eyes before grabbing it. I had 5 missed calls from one of my bestfriends, Adeline. I quickly call her back. It didn't take her long before she answers.

"𝘎𝘪𝘳𝘭, 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘶𝘮" she chuckles
"𝘔𝘮 𝘯𝘰, 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘴𝘭𝘦𝘦𝘱" I mumble "𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘶𝘱? 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘴𝘰 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘶𝘱 𝘴𝘰 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺"
"𝘋𝘪𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦? 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 2 𝘱.𝘮." she bursts out laughing "𝘈𝘯𝘺𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳? 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯"
"𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨? 𝘖𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘦" I chuckle
"𝘉𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘯 15" she says before hanging up

I yawned before getting up to go to the bathroom. I look in the mirror before I wash my face and brush my teeth. I walk downstairs to see my parents aren't home, typical them. I scoff before throwing myself on the couch.

Some minutes I hear the doorbell ringing as I go to open it, Adeline is standing there with two cups of coffee from starbucks before she hands one to me. I let her walk in and close the door.

"𝘚𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘦?" I ask as we both sit on the couch
"𝘚𝘰 𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 𝘢 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘱... 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘮𝘰𝘮 𝘴𝘶𝘨𝘨𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨" Adeline replies smilling at me
"𝘈 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘱? 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦? 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯? 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘧𝘧 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘸" I got up from the couch but she pulled me back down
"𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩." she chuckles
I sat down on the couch waiting for her to continue
"𝘉𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘶𝘵... 𝘛𝘰𝘮 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭." she looks at me waiting for an answer
"𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳? 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘯 𝘪𝘧 𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴."
"𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨"
"𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘳𝘶𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘱" I rolled my eyes playfully nudging her
She chuckles "𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘰 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰𝘰"
"𝘋𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦?"
She nods before we both head to the kitchen.

After we cook something up and eat, she stays for another half an hour before I led her to the door, she gives me a hug and leaves.
I went up to my room at the third floor, did I mention that my parents are rich? Well I did now, but it's not always a good thing. They are mostly busy with work and barely at home. I guess as a teenager you don't really want your parents to boss you around but it would be nice if they were at home more often.
