Now let's get into it.
Adanna's POV
"Guy! Chemistry was fire. I just dey float for that exam hall, no smart person even dey to give me dubs sef!" I heard a boy say as I walked past him. His name was Benehin, he was one of the unserious boys in my class.
"Me I know say I go fail Chemistry except if I bribe Mr. Suleman. But abeg, cash no too dey my hand," another boy said.
I decided to stop listening to people's conservations and focus on my destination, the Abandoned classroom. I needed to clear my head.
We had Chemistry exams today and sincerely, I think I would fail too, this was one of the few reasons for my bad mood at the moment.
Sometimes I just wished I had a useful brain like Isabelle's, no matter what she writes in an exam, regardless of whether she read or not, she will still pass with a very high score. But me on the other hand, no matter how much I read, I could barely get above an average score.
I let out a sigh. My walking pace was fast but I was slowed down by my classmates that were loitering in the corridor since exams for the day ended a while ago and revisions wouldn't be starting till another ten minutes, if not more.
My face was scrunched up, very serious, like I was about to kill someone. I was looking forward only, not caring to gaze at or turn to the people beside me. I was however distracted when a girl bumped into me.
"Didn't you see me coming? Couldn't you stop and shift so that I wouldn't hit you."
I looked at the girl who spoke with a cold expressionless face. She was one of the girls in my class, popularly known for chasing men, actual grown up men, like they were money. She was the class's saucy girl that cared less about books and cared lesser about academics and education in general. Her name was Ronke.
"I have no care whatsoever," I told her coldly, looking at her straight in the face. After my short statement, I continued walking.
"All these girls that have watched Wednesday sotey... they think that they are na Wednesday," she mocked behind my back.
"Who knows, maybe she does drugs too. I believe she's going to go and smoke or sniff something now," her friend, Garcia, added.
I just ignored them and continued walking until I got into the abandoned classroom, a.k.a. 'The A.C.' I was so glad that no couple was there doing rubbish. Letting out a loud sigh, I sat down on the floor, facing the wall, having the back of my head rest on a damaged-but-sturdy desk.
"What are you doing here?" I heard a masculine voice ask me.
I turned to see who the human being I hadn't noticed was. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the person's face. Inioluwa.
How did I not notice him?
He was sitting on the floor as well, resting his head on the wall directly opposite me. I was taken aback, struggling to regain composure. I was in a bad mood, but still, his presence calmed me down a bit. The fact that he talked to me for the first time ever was too exciting, exciting enough to cool my temper.
