~y/n's POV~
I furrowed my eyebrows and crossed my arms
"My dad's coming home soon so..you should probably leave"Why did he come here? He did this for a reason..I just know he did.
"Well..I can't go back home so...I was thinking..what if I ask to sleepover!" He said with a smile. He better be joking.
"What? There's no way my dad would let you." I said with a annoyed face
"Why not? I'll just make something up. He can't say no to me, right?" He said with a smirk and an 'innocent' face.
Now he was getting on my nerves
"You can't just walk into someone's house and expect them to just let you stay!" I said getting pretty pissed off now
"Wow! Watch your cool, neighbor. No need to get hotheaded" He said with another one of his ignorant smirks. He got up and walked over to me slowly as he continued to speak.
"I really need to stay here. I need this favor" He said as he continued walking slowly.
"You know I'm starting to think your favors are one sided." I said narrowing my eyes at him.
"No, no. I'm a man of my word." He said with a smirk.
Then I heard the door knob jiggling. There were keys heard moving and then the door. Rafe quickly got over to me and then my dad walked into the house and he looked up and saw my and Rafe standing there facing him.
"Hey dad!" I said nervously. What was he going to assume because of Rafe being here
"Hey hon! Rafe, it's nice to see you, how are you?" My dad said as he walked over to him and shook his hand.
"I've been doing fine thank you. How are you sir?" Rafe said adequately.
"I'm doing great thanks. What brings you here?" He said as he took his coat off.
"Well..I was yet talking to y/n here..you know..teenage troubles..I needed someone to talk too and she was the first person I thought of."
Rafe said with a smile and tried to joke around with my dad. This made me strangely uneasy.
"You too are friends now! It's great to see you getting along!" My dad said happily. I felt this scorching feeling in my stomach. I felt disgusting for lying to my dad. Rafe then put his arm around my shoulder and smiled again.
"Yes sir. Your daughter and I are getting along very well. You've raised her well" Rafe said. I slightly tensed up at the feeling of his arm around me. I just tried to play it cool.
"Were you on your way out?" My dad said.
"Actually sir..I wanted to ask for a favor. I know this might be much but you can say no if you don't want to comply." Rafe paused then spoke up again.
"My dad doesn't understand what i'm going through and..we got into an argument, and I don't think I'm ready to talk to him just yet. I wanted to ask if you would let me stay here for the night, just tonight. You can say no, it's no big deal-"
"Of course you can! You're always welcome if you need it!" My dad said with a sympathetic smile.
"Thank you, sir, really. I greatly appreciate this."
"No problem. I'm going to get ready for bed so, make yourself at home. Honey show him to the spare room, would you?" My dad said kindly.
"Sure thing, dad" I said with a most definitely real smile. As my dad walked away I turned to Rafe angrily.
