A couple days have passed since Sarah and I found out about Rafe doing drugs. We agreed we wouldn't tell anyone because he threatened us. I know, not the best terms but as long as i'm not dead i'm fine with it.
Ever since we agreed, Rafe has kept a close eye on the two of us. Mostly me, since Sarah lives with him and he knows where she is all the time for the most part. But me. It was a whole different story. I would be outside in my backyard doing stuff and I would see him outside on the balcony looking over at me. Watching me.
To be honest, it was kind of creepy. And i got quite uncomfortable with it.
The next day I was out doing the groceries when my dad was at work. I was walking around and I felt paranoid, as if someone was following me. I turned around, and just to my luck, Rafe was standing less than 25 feet away. I was annoyed, so I decided to end this.
I walked up to him and looked at him dead in the eyes. "Listen. If you're gonna keep following me around like a creep, and stalking me. I'm gonna call the cops." I said. I honestly wouldn't, I just tried to scare him off. "You wouldn't" he said in a daring tone. I scoffed. "I'm not gonna tell anyone if that's what you're worried about."
He just stared into my eyes and didn't say a word. I gave up and just walked away. A couple steps later I felt his hand grab my arm. I abruptly turned around and pulled my arm away. "What do you want?" I said "You promise you won't tell anyone. And I mean anyone." He said
For the first time ever, I saw worry in his eyes. I saw sincerity."I promise" I said. And with that I walked away and paid for my things. I drove back home and had a boring rest of my day.
~later that night~
I was sitting on my couch at about 8:10pm. I heard the door open, I looked and saw my dad. "Hey hon! How are you?" He greeted me with a smile as he took his coat off and put his keys on the small entrance table.
"I'm good. How was your day?" I said, returning the smile. He sat next to me and sighed. "Tiring but, nonetheless, interesting. How was your day?" He said while looking at me. "It's was...okay. I just went out to get groceries and spent the day home."
"You didn't even see your friends? What about Sarah and Rafe, next door?" "Nope. And Sarah's is my friend not Rafe." I said to clarify. "Oh, I'm sorry!" He said sarcastically with a giggle and I laughed along.
We watched tv for a while until there was a knock. In the same moment, I got a text. My dad got up to open the door and I opened my phone to see that Sarah texted me. It said
'BIG PROBLEM! MY DAD FOUND OUT ABOUT RAFE! HE JUST WENT OVER TO YOUR HOUSE AND I THINK HE WANTS TO TALK TO YOU!!!'
Oh shit. My dad opened the door and there stood Rafe. "Oh hey there!" Said my dad in a polite manner. "Hey Mr. y/l/n. Is y/n home?" said Rafe in a calm voice. "Yes she is, do you need to speak to her?" my dad asked. "Yes I do. It's kind of urgent." I got up and tried to sneak into the kitchen before my dad called out my name.
"y/n, hon! Someone wants to talk to you!" He said as he turned around and saw me trying to walk away. 'fuck' I said mentally. I walked over awkwardly and stood by my dad. "I need to talk to you..alone." said Rafe. My dad took that as his cue to leave so he did. He went upstairs to his room.
"can we step outside?" said Rafe. "sure." I said nervously. We walked out and closed the door. Rafe took a deep breath and then looked straight into my eyes. "Who the fuck did you tell?" He said angrily. "what?" oh crap. "Who the FUCK did you tell." I could've sworn I saw smoke coming out of his ears. "I didn't tell anyone, anything." I said sternly.
"oh for fucks sake! QUIT THE ACT! I know you fucking told someone!" at this point he was screaming at me. "two things. One, stop yelling, two, i didn't fucking tell anyone." I said angrily. I was so done with his bullshit. "So how the fuck did my dad find out then, huh?" He said.
