Chapter XI
We were all packed up for the day when I got a call from Ms. Park. "Good Morning Ajumma" I said after receiving the call, "Hello Tatiana, I wanted to ask if it would be okay for you or someone to pick up Jungkook from his school?" She spoke, panicked.
"Sure I can pick him, is there some problem?" I questioned, "No, Hoseok was to pick him up, but he is held back, Jimin and Yoongi can't make it as well, me and your dad have a important meeting before leaving, and only authorised people can pick up Jungkook, Thank you so much, I'll send you the location and the school staff your details" she elaborated, "Sure, should I leave right now?" "Yes that would be great, thank you" she replied, "okay, I'll bring him to our place, bye" I hung up after she said a quick okay.
"We are picking up Kookie, let's get going" I said to Taehyung who was sprawled on the couch, "cool" we were already dressed to leave, and walked out grabbing our coats, "who's driving?" He asked as I grabbed the keys, I thought for a moment, "Me" And walked out.
We sat in the car with Taehyung in the passenger seat, while the bodyguard's car followed us. It took around 45 minutes to reach Jungkook's school. We were given entry after security checked my ID.
We entered the front building, and walked to the receptionist, "how can I help you?" She asked bowing politely, "We are here to pick Jeon Jungkook of 11th A" She nodded and typed something on the keyboard, "Guardian's name please?" She looked up, "Park Sungi" she nodded and typed.
"Are you Kim Taehee?" She asked, and I nodded, "May I have an ID please?" I gave her my ID, which she matched and handed it back with a form.
"Please sign at the bottom, we'll inform his homeroom teacher, he will be here in a few minutes" I nodded and signed the half day slip, we sat down on the waiting couch besides reception desk, about 10 minutes later Jungkook came out of the elevator, "Hyung, Noona?" He looked surprised, we just smiled, "Jungkook, sign here" the receptionist interrupted him with the slip which he signed and walked towards us. "Where's Hobi hyung?" He asked, "he got held back at work, let's go" Taehyung said, taking his hand bag.
Third person's pov
"Shotgun!" He said as we reached the car, Taehyung sat in the back after Jungkook kept his bag and hopped in front, "You wanna eat something first?" Taehee asked as she started driving.
"I don't think so, mom would be worried" he mumbled, "It's okay, Let's grab a quick drink at Starbucks, what do you want?" Taehyung asked, pulling his phone out.
"Boba tea" Jungkook replied, "and you missy" he looked at Taehee, "regular" She said, focusing on the road.
"Done" he mumbled putting his phone back, "Done?" Jungkook looked back at him.
"Yeah, texted the bodyguard," Taehyung said, leaning back. "I wanted to ask, why do you guys have bodyguards? And so many?" Jungkook said, looking at Taehee.
"Well, high risk of being kidnapped, and general" Taehee replied nonchalantly.
"Don't scare the kid, Anna!" Taehyung exclaimed looking at Jungkook's horrified face.
"Well it's just because dad is the top business man" Taehyung clarified, "Will I also need one?" Jungkook asked, "Maybe for pick and drop?" Taehee replied as they stopped outside the Starbucks. Jungkook moved to open the door, "What are you doing?" Taehee questioned, "Don't we have to get down and go inside?" Jungkook asked obviously, "Nah huh, wait" Taehee lowered her window after a short knock, she grabbed the drinks, "Thanks, Jake" the bodyguard gave a small smile, "here you go kookie, Your taro boba tea, and You dork" Taehee handed both of them their drinks, and sipped her buttered popcorn frappuccino, "you both have a weird taste" Jungkook said sipping his, "well duh, we are twins" Taehyung replied.
"We are home boys," Taehee said, pulling in the driveway. "Finally, your house is so far away," Jungkook hopped out.
"We have 2 hours before everyone comes down for the journey, let's do something" Taehyung said laying down on the living room couch.
"Jungkookie, you wanna change?" Taehee asked, as she looked at his uniform. "Umm...yeah, but I don't have clothes right now"
"Madam Park has sent clothes for you, Young Master" a maid bowed, "I..umm..thank..you? C-Can you please call me Jungkook?" He stuttered taking the clothes and looking at the twins and the maid, "I-" the maid looked at the twins, "It's okay Eonnie, call him Jungkook" TaeHee smiled at her, the maid bowed and left, "I feel weird"Jungkook mumbled as he clutched his clothes, "it's okay Kookie, you can go to the guest room and change" Taehyung told him, Jungkook nodded going into the hallway.
"He is a cutie," Taehee smiled, "do you think they'll be able to adjust?" Taehyung looked at the way Jungkook left, "I think, everyone had to adjust at some point" she replied, "what do you think this trip will go like?" Taehyung looked at his twins, they both rolled their eyes and exclaimed, "hetic!"
They were ready to leave as Kim SeokMin, Park Sungi, Namjoon, and Hoseok sat in one car, while SeokJin, Yoongi, Twins and Jungkook sat in the other, 6 cars left, 4 for security as the trip started out.
It was silent in the parents' car, while SeokJin was getting updates on everyone's life. (Seokjin driving, Taehyung beside him, Yoongi behind Seokjin, Taehee in the centre, Jungkook besides Taehee)
"Yoongi hyung, how's the new album coming along?" Taehyung asked after a few moments of silence in the car, "great, why don't you both come in and listen to it before release?" Yoongi asked as twins shrieked in excitement, "Really?!" "Yah, Yoongi don't give them dopamine hits, you don't wanna deal with their hyperactive asses!" Jin placed a hand on his ears.
"Way to ruin the fun Jin hyung" Taehyung said with a pout, "we would love to come someday to listen to Yoongi oppa" Taehee smiled at Yoongi, who patted her head lightly.
"Jungkook, how about you join us?" Taehee turned to her right, "I don't wanna listen to annoying cat" Jungkook grimaced, "Yah!" Yoongi smacked his head, "okay okay, don't be mean to the old man" Taehyung said turning back, as both him and Jungkook burst out laughing.
While the other car was almost dead silent, with Sungi and Namjoon working on project details, that Namjoon is currently heading, while Hoseok is fast asleep after a long day at work, dancing and teaching at the same time is a tough job, all the while SeokMin in driving seat is worried, very worried about his parents reaction, they have been informed about Sungi and her kids, they know their sons intentions in marrying this woman soon, and to say they are very supportive would have been an imagination.
He remembered, well his mind doesn't let him forget, his first wife, his first love, it was an arranged marriage, they both were childhood best friends, she was the only girl his parents approved of, she had no past to look at, except for an exceptionally rich family background, perfect match for him in his parents eyes, he too fell in love after marriage, she was loved and was favoured by everyone in his family, more than him even, and to say they still hold onto her after all these years, her memories never faded, they were as new as a the day they were moments.
