I couldn't believe it. John B and Sarah, my bestfriends, were alive. Despite the exhaustion weighing heavily on my shoulders from everything that had happened, the knowledge that they were still breathing brought a glimmer of hope.

As the four of us walked towards a more secluded area outside The Wreck, Kie's words echoed my disbelief, "Is this a dream? Someone pinch me!"

"This is crazy," I murmured, shaking my head but unable to suppress the smile that tugged at my lips.

"Kiara, I do need those setups by 5!" Anna's voice interrupted our moment, trailing after us.

"There are other people that work there!" Kiara retorted.

"But none of them are my children!" Anna's voice carried, her concern palpable.

"I feel that on a deep emotional level," Pope chimed in sympathetically as Kiara sat down, dropping her backpack onto the bench.

"So, we're going to the Bahamas or what?" JJ quipped, mirroring Kie's actions as he joined her on the bench, Pope following suit.

I remained standing, arms folded, watching them with a mixture of amusement and concern. "We could," I responded with a shrug, considering the possibility.

"There's no way we're getting to the Bahamas," Pope scoffed, his skepticism evident.

"John B said to clear his name, and that's what we're gonna do," Kiara asserted confidently, her determination unwavering.

"So, what's the plan?" I inquired, my curiosity piqued.

"I'll tell you how we do it," JJ declared with confidence, drawing my attention.

"Oh, so you have it all planned out?" Pope interjected, his tone mocking.

"As a matter of fact, I do," JJ replied, his confidence unshaken. "We kidnap Rafe."

"I'm sorry, what?" Kiara exclaimed, disbelief evident in her voice.

"We kidnap Rafe," JJ repeated, his tone unwavering. "Tie him up, stick a gun in his mouth, and just wait till he starts squawking."

I couldn't help but rub a hand over my face. "You know torture is a war crime?" I questioned JJ, feeling a sense of unease settle in the pit of my stomach.

"So how exactly do you plan on clearing John B's name from a prison cell?" Pope's sarcastic remark echoed my concerns. "Because that's a felony."

"I might have an idea," I said hesitantly, knowing that what I was about to propose would not be taken lightly, especially by JJ.

"Oh, please, do enlighten us," JJ retorted sarcastically, waving his hand dismissively. "I was just trying to keep it simple," JJ said casually.

"I'll go first, if you don't mind," Pope interjected softly, his eyes meeting mine briefly.

"Be my guest," I replied with a small smile.

"All we need is a material witness," Pope explained. "We saw Ward's plane fly right over our heads with the gold inside of it. Someone else was on that tarmac, and we need to find him. Ward didn't fly the plane, and neither did we. So we have to find the pilot and get them to confess on record."

As Pope spoke, I couldn't help but fidget with my bracelet, the weight of the situation bearing down on me. If the so-called pilot confessed on record, there would be no saving for Rafe. He would go down, and there was nothing I could do to help him.

"And how do we do that?" Kiara's voice cut through my thoughts, pulling me back to the conversation at hand.

"By a little espionage," Pope replied with a smirk, his confidence shining through.
