"Stay?" I ask sadly. "Mmhm." Tom says with a nod. There are no tears left for me to cry anymore. "I know it will take some getting used to, but at least you have Allison here with you." He coos softly. He reaches up to hold my face. I recoil as I flinch again.

Tom's hand returns to his lap. "Why do you always flinch when my hands come near your face?" he asks with a sigh. I look down at my hands, picking at the skin on my fingertips. "That's a story for another time." He nods, respecting my boundary.

Tom stands up from the floor and plops next to me on the giant bed. "Are you hungry? You haven't eaten all day. I can get you something if you'd like." My stomach starts to rumble. "Yeah, actually. I am a little hungry." I say nodding.

He stands up and heads towards the door. "I'll be right back, stay here." He says with a smile. As if I could go anywhere. I don't even know where I am, nor do I have my car. I could be thousands of miles away from home for all I know. I hear the door shut behind him softly. I get up from the bed, pulling the curtains open.

It's already getting dark outside. I must have been asleep for hours. The window has a sliding door, leading to a huge balcony. No way, this is actually kind of cool. Maybe I won't mind staying here. I scooch a chair up to the window, staring out into the thousands of trees that surround the house. I watch as two cars pull into the driveway and observe Georg and Gustav enter the house, carrying bags inside. I guess they live here too, which makes sense with how many rooms I had walked past earlier today.

The bedroom door clicks open as I tap my nails on the glass. Tom pulls up a chair next to me and hands me a plate, topped with three slices of pizza. "Georg picked up some pizza on the way home. I thought it would be easy on your stomach." He smiles. I stare through the window as I slowly chew the greasy but delicious pizza. I offer Tom my last slice, which he gladly accepts. He notices me staring out the window. "Do you want to sit outside for a little while?" He asks with his mouth full. I nod excitedly.

He opens the sliding door and wraps a small blanket around my shoulders. "Just in case you get cold..." he says with a sweet look in his eyes. I look around the balcony and there's more furniture than I could ever fit in my bedroom. In each corner, sits a chair, in the middle, a rather large couch, completed with a coffee table. I pick the chair closest to the railing and sit with my feet up with the rest of my body. Tom chooses the couch, sitting on the side closest to me, and lights a cigarette. "You don't mind, do you?" he asks before he brings it to his lips. I shake my head and he takes a long drag.

I know that he saw me smoking the other night, so he already knows I don't mind. It was still nice that he asked though. My fingers dance against the railing as I watch him pluck another one from the pack and passes it over to me. I gratefully accept, as he lights it for me. I lean my hand over the edge of the railing, flicking the ash off, and take several long drags. I watch as Tom stubs the butt of his into the ashtray on the table. His braids fall over his shoulders, almost gracefully as he leans over. His eyes meet mine. "What?" he asks with a goofy grin. I look down. "I'm getting pretty sleepy. I think I'm ready for bed." He nods and stands up, opening the sliding door, and ushers me inside.
