Venus POV
My world is dull...Everything is dull...
Boring...
My life is full of sadness...
Yet I'm drowning with too much affection from the people around me...
"Tsuki atte kudasai!! (Go out with me, please!)" It has become a routine of mine that my weekdays will never be complete without someone confessing their love towards me.
Everything seems strange.
I always feel like I'm in another world. Nothing seems shocking, yet my best friend manages to make my heart skip a beat, not because I love the idea of going out with him, but because I treated him like a brother, and to think that he's in love with me makes me nervous and anxious.
A world where the only one who could understand me is myself. I'm used to rejecting people, but right now, I can't seem to find the right words for him. I don't want to hurt him by saying I don't feel the same, but I also don't want him to think he had a chance with me.
A world where I feel like I'm alone and lonely.
"Toshiro, I'm sorry..." That's all I could respond. Even if I can't hear him, I know he chuckles sadly as he nods his head, and by using sign language, he communicates with me.
"I know you would say that... I really just want to convey my feelings to you. I know you won't accept me, but thank you for your time and cooperation. All I want is to let you know that I love you. Don't worry because I am content just being your best friend." My heart sinks, knowing he took the effort and courage to face me just to convey his feelings.
"Thank you..." That's all I could say.
Besides...
I don't think I deserve to be loved.
I don't think I deserve that after what I did.
"Okay... Class dismissed, I'll see you in a month. I hope you enjoy your summer vacation... President!!" Lip reading wasn't that bad unless they talked too fast.
Once I saw our class president standing up, I knew it was time to bid goodbyes to everyone. Once they were done, I packed my bag and left. As I walked out of the building, I spotted a familiar face.
And again, she got that bright smile plastered on her pretty face. She's wearing a normal high school uniform, yet in my eyes, she looks so stunning.
When that pair of brown eyes met mine, her smile grew wider. She waved her hand like a kid as she made her way towards me.
"Are we going home?" She asked.
I used my phone and typed something.
"I have no homework or projects. How about you?" I waited for her response.
She's still smiling from ear to ear.
"Me too! But unfortunately, I'm going home since I have to move my things to my apartment... How about you, Venus-senpai?" Ahh right. Yesterday was her second payday; of course, she had the money to buy an apartment for herself.
