Chapter 7 - Cyra's World

Venus POV

Yet again...

We're close, but it seems she's so far...

Letting me sleep on her bed as she sleeps on the couch...

She said she'll sleep early...

But she's crying while looking at a picture inside her wallet.

Our five meters distance feels like a hundred miles away.

Seeing this side of her makes me eager to reach her.

I don't care if the sun will burn me.

I want to get closer to it.

Deaf people should not approach from behind since they aren't fully aware of their surroundings.

Whenever she's around, she always approaches me from the front.

She's not deaf, but she's not fully aware of her surroundings. When I poked her shoulder, she was startled and looked at me with wide eyes.

She looked away and wiped her face, trying to hide her real emotions.

"Why are you still awake, Venus-senpai?" she asked.

"I want to be with you at the moment... Can't I?" Her eyes dilated.

"I want to be in the same world you are in, Hinata-chan."

Cyra POV

The same world I am in....

The world that is full of lies and pain...

I can't...

I wanted to be selfish. I wanted to keep my problems to myself and not bother her, but in the end, I told her everything.

Those words Zephyr said...

They were the same last words my mom said to me before she passed away, and right now, I can't help but miss her and overthink the possibility that Zephyr might also leave me.

When I had no words left, she asked if I wanted advice, which I refused. I guess all I want is to be seen and heard.

"You're doing exceptionally well at expressing your feelings and not masking them with a smile. I love your smile, but please don't fake it when you're with me." She delivered those words with such sincere expression.

Everybody loves my smile.

Nothing is new.

"I may love your smile, but I'd love it more if it's real and you're not only smiling to hide the pain... In these circumstances, let me be the older one who listens and guides you." Her eyes softened, and there was a small yet genuine sweet smile on her lips.

"If you want to be in the same world I am in, then let me be in the same world you are in too, so we can understand each other." My heart fluttered. I leaned my head on her shoulder and hugged my knees.

"I feel comfortable when I'm with you, Venus-senpai." I intentionally hid my face so she couldn't read my lips.

Those words that came out of my mouth were too embarrassing to say to her, so I spoke to them even though I knew she couldn't hear me.

I mean, that's the point. I don't want her to hear those words... It would be embarrassing for me.

As time passes by, unti unti ng nawawala ang sakit na nadarama ko sa aking puso. Bumibigat narin ang mga mata ko at kumakalma na ang paghinga ko.
