Chapter 15 - Christmas is for family, friends, and lovers

Cyra's POV

The snow began to fall from the sky at the same time their lips met.

They liked each other...

And what will happen after that?

"Cyra, anong handa mo mamaya?" Tanong ni Zephyr, kasalukuyan kaming nasa grocery at bumibili ng mga pagkain, I came with her since I was bored and had nothing to do at home.

"I have no idea... First time kong mag Christmas ng mag isa." Tugon ko as I'm pulling the cart while she's grabbing the stuff her mom asks her to buy.

"I told you naman na pwede ka sumama samin eh" she responded.

"And I appreciate it but ayoko. Nakakahiya na kaya sa parents mo." Pagdadahilan ko naman.

"You don't have to be embarrassed but if that's what you feel then I won't invalidate it, basta sinasabi ko sayo, our door is always open for you anytime. If you change your mind, you can just barge in even without permission." We walked towards the counter and placed everything on the mini table.

After she paid, we walked out of the store carrying four paper bags full of her groceries.

"Taxi!!" Once a cab pulled out, pumasok na siya, binigay ko ang mga gamit niya and I watched as the car drove away from me.

I started walking down, planning to go home as soon as possible as my body shivers. The sun was about to set and the cold breeze made my body feel numb.

There's a smoke coming out of my mouth as I breathe and let a heavy sigh. The walk was peaceful, there's nothing I could think of other than my family.

First Christmas without them...

It's fine for me...

As long as I could help them financially...

Nang makarating ako sa bahay ay nakakita ako ng isang lalaki, nakatalikod ito sa akin ngunit panay ang doorbell.

"How may I help you, sir?" My eyebrows raised nang bumungad sa akin ang isang pamilyar na mukha.

"So that's the reason why no one's answering."

"Toshiro-san? What are you doing here?" He smiled at me and lifted up a bag full of something.

"I'm not used to spending Christmas alone so I'll let you join my little celebration..."

Let me join?

"Now, open your gates and let's go inside before I catch a cold. I've been ringing this doorbell for 15 minutes now." Yet, even if I'm confused, I let him inside my house.

"Pardon for the intrusion." He said and went straight to my living room, I took off my shoes and placed them on the side.

"Can you please give me a proper explanation why are you here?"

"Well, I heard from a little bird that you're going to stay up all night waiting for Christmas all alone and well, since I'm all alone too, why don't we be each other's company?" Sagot niya habang nilalabas ang mga alak na nasa lata.

"Do you drink beer?" I nodded my head and excuse myself for a moment, I changed into my comfortable clothes and joined him afterwards as he served everything he's carrying earlier.

"I heard that Keita and Chander get together... What a shocking plot twist, right?" He started the conversation as I sat on the floor across from him.

"To be honest, I see that coming in... I always see Keita-chan blushing whenever Chander is near... But I didn't really think Chander felt the same way... I thought... Nevermind." Trying to clear my mind, I grabbed a can of beer, opened it and of course drank it.
