Naina entered the room and was amazed by how clean and tidy it was. Everything was in its place and there was no sign of dust or dirt. She wondered how Reyansh could keep his room so spotless. She was still admiring the room when she heard a voice behind her, "Are you going to keep gaping at my room?" She turned around and saw Reyansh standing at the door with a smirk on his face.
She felt embarrassed and quickly said, "I need to change." Reyansh raised his eyebrows and asked, "Where are your clothes?" Naina pointed her head and said, "On my head." Reyansh looked confused and said, "What the.." Naina explained, "Our marriage happened suddenly right? Then how will I have clothes?" Reyansh nodded and said, "Yeah, right." He sounded sarcastic and Naina felt hurt.
She asked him, "Why did you marry me Reyansh? I know that you don't love me. Then why destroy my life?" Reyansh said, "I have my own reasons." He did not elaborate and Naina felt angry. Naina shouted, "WHY DID YOU BRING ME INTO IT? I NEVER WANTED TO BE NAINA REYANSH SINGHANIYA. YOU JUST SPOILT MY LIFE" She pushed him away and stormed to the sofa. She sat down and burst into tears.
Someone knocked on their door and Reyansh opened it. It was one of his servants with many suitcases. The servant came in and said, "Babhi ji, these are your suitcases." He placed them on the floor and left. Naina nodded and thanked him. She went to the closet and started removing the jewellery that she was wearing. She felt suffocated by the heavy ornaments. She left only the mangalsutra around her neck, as a sign of her marriage. She sighed and started removing her heavy lehenga. She felt uncomfortable in the traditional attire. She wore a simple kurta that she found in one of the suitcases.
She removed her hair from a bun and massaged her scalp. She felt relieved to let her hair loose. She went to the bathroom and washed her face to remove all the makeup. She felt refreshed to see her natural face. She came out of the bathroom and saw her phone on the table. She had many notifications from her friends and family. But she was not ready to face them.
She ignored her phone and lay down on the bed. Reyansh came from the balcony and said, "I will sleep on the recliner and you sleep on the bed." He did not want to share the bed with her. Naina said, "Forget sleeping, now answer my question. Why did you marry me?" Reyansh said, "To save my sister's marriage." Naina's eyes widened and asked, "What?" She did not understand what he meant.
Reyansh said, "I know you trapped Aakash jiju in your trap and made him confess for you, but I will never leave that happen. Understand?" Naina had tears in her eyes and she denied, "No, that's not true."
Reyansh did not believe her and said, "Don't lie to me. I know everything." Naina felt hopeless and she went towards the bed. She lay down and turned away from him. Reyansh took his pillow and a blanket from the cupboard and went and slept on the recliner. He did not want to look at her. Finally Naina also slept as she was completely exhausted. She hoped that this was all a bad dream and that she would wake up to a better life.
Naina got out of bed at seven in the morning and headed to the bathroom. She took a refreshing shower and then chose a beautiful red saree from her suitcase. It had a graceful gold border and tiny gold flowers scattered on the red fabric. The blouse was a perfect match for the saree.
She accessorized her outfit with a choker necklace and earrings that had a similar design. She wore red bangles on her wrists and made a bun with her hair, leaving some strands loose on her face. She applied a bindi on her forehead and sindhoor on the parting of her hair.
