(Y/n)
(Y/n) walked out of Burling Elementary School later than she wanted to. She had planned on leaving earlier than usual to avoid having to see Zeus. Hecate visited her last night with the same threat of staying away from Zeus. And as much as (Y/n) wanted to tell Hecate that there's nothing she can do about the prophecy, she decided not to argue with her goddess mother.
(Y/n) didn't understand why Hecate visited her so much. She knew very well that most godly parents aren't that invested with their children's lives. However Hecate made it her mission to see (Y/n) every night. It left (Y/n) very exhausted when each interaction was over. Wanting nothing more to climb into her bed and sleep forever.
The rain poured down on (Y/n)'s hair. This was another reason why she wanted to leave early. (Y/n) didn't want to have to deal with the rain. Not while she had to wait for the train. It'll just be colder and she'll end up getting sick. Another thing Hecate will lecture about. (Y/n) couldn't control herself when she was sick. The thought made (Y/n) roll her eyes. What a mess her life has become.
Maybe (Y/n) should just go into hiding. She could build a bunker underground and not have to deal with society anymore. Imagine that. Hecate wouldn't have to lecture her anymore. (Y/n) could get away from the whole Zeus problem and the whole prophecy entirely. And just live the way she wants. The way she wanted for a long time now.
"You do know staying out in the rain will make you sick right?"
(Y/n) looks over quickly to see Zeus himself. She had a feeling he had just appeared then. Not in the mortal way of someone not knowing that they're there. But in the way of magically appearing because he could. (Y/n) didn't exactly know how to feel about this.
He held an umbrella over her head. Letting the rain soak him. (Y/n) knew that he could stop the rain from hitting him if he wished. He could control the damn weather if he wished. But he didn't. He let it soak him. (Y/n) stares at that. The action not making sense in her head.
"How'd you find me?" (Y/n) asks? Her voice tight and unlike her.
Zeus seems to wince slightly. (Y/n)'s frown deepens at that. "I merely was out looking at property. And seen you. I'm not a stalker (Y/n)."
The way he said her name made her heart flutter. It fell off his lips so graciously. As if it was his to say. (Y/n) took a deep breath. Her hands clenching slightly as she tried to remain calm. An empty mind. An empty mind. She repeats to herself.
"I never insinuated that you were a stalker, Zeus." (Y/n) mused.
Saying his name made (Y/n) feel powerful. She didn't quite understand why it did. But she fell as if they were on the same playing field with first name basis. How many people can say they talk to gods? Not many. Not even most of the demigods she had met in her life. Not so intimately. And yet here she was. Talking to the Almighty Zeus.
Zeus chuckles. "You are right. Forgive me for the assumption." He mocked.
(Y/n) feels her eyes narrow. Unlike her normally bubbly personality, (Y/n) could find herself getting irritated. Maybe it was because she rather listen to him laughing for an eternity. Or maybe it was the fact that Zeus had no idea the problems he was causing in her life right now. But she could feel the annoyance coming on fast and strong.
"Well if you excuse me." (Y/n) says. Before continuing on her walk.
She was sure Zeus wouldn't follow her. However, she was wrong. Since Zeus caught up with her pretty quickly. (Y/n) side eyed him. Her mind races with ways to leave this situation. She could feel the flicker of panic coming. If her emotions run wild again...
