Zeus
Zeus cannot remember the last time he had actually went on a date. Much less with someone he was actually interested in. To be fair, for the last century, Zeus only did hookups. He didn't try for actual relationships. There was no need. When a god like him could have anyone in the entire world that he wanted; why would he settle down for anyone?
The last time Zeus had actively tried to pursue anyone was when he went after Hera. And look how bad that turned out for him. Years of bitter marriages and back and forth. Zeus won't have the same thing happen twice. He refused to be put through that same torment again.
There was something about (Y/n) that made him want to try. Maybe this was his brain tricking him. Hadn't he only wanted her in bed? Hadn't he wanted to brag to his brothers on having an angel in his bed? Maybe this is all some trick that Zeus is playing on himself. He's heard weirder things happen.
Though Zeus knew that wasn't the case. (Y/n) had Zeus doing things – acting ways that Zeus had never acted before. Zeus was getting pulled in by (Y/n) more than he wanted to admit. And only time will tell if it would be a good or a bad thing. Zeus was hoping that it would be a good thing.
Standing in front of his closet, Zeus admired himself in the mirror. He went for simple today. It was only a festival. There was no need to get dressed up to the nines for it. Though Zeus did want to try a little. Maybe (Y/n) would notice. Maybe (Y/n) would comment on it. The thought has him particularly happy. He didn't need her to say much. Just to acknowledge him. To show that she saw he showed up. Maybe that was asking for too much. That's a strange thought for Zeus. The concept of asking for too much. Zeus was the king of gods. He could have anything he wanted with a snap of his fingers. Why would he ever be worried about asking for too much of anything?
With a huff, Zeus turned from his mirror. He ran a hand through his blonde hair. Zeus was not going to continue to explore these bothersome thoughts. He had plans down in the mortal realm with his mortal angel. And he wasn't missing that for the world. Zeus walked out of his private chambers and headed down to the mortal realm. Wasting no more time.
(Y/n) and Zeus had agreed to meet down at the park. Zeus figured it'd be easy to be spotted there. And he wouldn't have to make up a lie about driving anywhere. Most mortals walk to the park. Zeus walked over to a park bench; leaning against it with his arms crossed. People walked by him; yet Zeus paid them no mind. He didn't care to get the attention that he usually desires. Zeus wanted one person's attention. And she should be here in a few minutes.
"Zeus!"
Zeus turned his head to see (Y/n) walking over. And oh gods. Wow. She's- She's stunning. Dressed in yellow with that sun hat. And her hair down framing her face just right.
