Everything was wrong. The day was dark gray and the plants were withering before their eyes, the food lacked flavor, and the animals were languishing. Kushina and Mikoto found themselves in a corner of the super-secret SasuSaku and NaruSaku base, in the chamber adjacent to the Hokage's office. Their faces resting against the cold wall reflected discouragement and lack of enthusiasm. What was the point of life? Why was the sky blue? Why were roses called roses if they were red, and the sun was warm? And why did their sons have to end up with other girls after so many years of effort to win Sakura over?

They had meticulously planned every detail so that in the end, it all turned out to be in vain. They had imagined their sons with their arms linked to Sakura's, announcing that the pink-haired girl was the love of their lives. In their fantasies, they showed surprise but happiness at the "unexpected" relationship between them. They imagined dinners and toasts to the union, hid the condoms so that, in the haze of drunkenness, their sons could sleep with Sakura and maybe conceive a child. And if they refused, they would organize the most spectacular and unforgettable wedding, and soon grandchildren would come, at least twenty, or perhaps fifteen if they didn't want so many children.

But everything crumbled in less than a second when those girls arrived and, with their claws, pulled Naruto and Sasuke out of Sakura's reach. It seemed as if they had put an invisible blindfold over their eyes with black magic to prevent them from seeing Sakura.

No! This couldn't end like this. They had faced many things, but this was different. They were the mothers of their children, the loving, powerful, and wise mothers who knew what was best for their sons. And they wouldn't allow a princess and a red leech to ruin everything they had planned. They decided to study their enemies and make the final blow to send them away.

Mikoto devised a spy operation. They decided that one of them would go to see Sakura's enemy to try to win over her son, but it was only to level the playing field. They preferred to be the ones to try to unite their children than to let a harpy ruin everything. It all started like this: yesterday, while having tea, Sakura confessed to them that Hinata was determined to confess to Naruto and give him something special. Kushina almost had an internal heart attack and begged Mikoto to try to stop her or devise a plan to stop Hinata before she caused a catastrophe that ruined everything.

For that reason, after many tears and pleas, Mikoto went to the market early in the morning to spy on Hinata, with the condition that Kushina went to spy on Karin.

To go to the market to buy food, Mikoto went to Shisui's house, which seemed like a living dead when he opened the door. She left several bags of food, arguing that he needed to eat more to be stronger, and before he could react, she left with the remaining bags, leaving Shisui with words in his mouth.

After that, she went to Itachi's house, but to her dismay, he was out of the Uchiha compound. When he announced that he was going to become independent, she almost screamed in the sky. She cried, blackmailed, and kicked, but she couldn't stop him. At least now she had a good excuse to empty his refrigerator in one go, instead of just making food for a battalion.

When she knocked on his door, it took a moment for him to open it. She, very calmly, waited until the door swung open, revealing the face of her eldest son. She was a little surprised to see him awake so early in the morning.

"Good morning, Okasan," Itachi said, his face blank as he tried to figure out his mother's intentions for arriving so early in the morning at his house. It was barely seven on a Sunday morning.

As if that was enough, Mikoto smiled at him energetically and opened the door to give her son a kiss on the cheek and enter the house.

"Dear, I know you always prioritize your missions, and as your mother, I must care more about your health. That's why I decided to make sure you eat properly," Mikoto said, opening her son's refrigerator to only find a jar of chocolate, some dango sticks, and a bottle of wine.
